I really don't like to be led by my hand while I'm playing. I would like to be able to turn off quest messages. When I feel like it, I'll build the building. The new building notification is enough.
Hi TDOW, thanks for your feedback! You might want to play Free Play instead - this does not have quest messages. You can start it by choosing New Game in the Game Menu. It does unlock a lot of buildings in the start though, which might be a bit overwhelming - I may change this later.
One star just because I HAVE to do things your way. It isn't a game if I'm not allowed to actually play. These quests are no better than a tutorial forcing me to walk through things.
We're trying to figure out what the problem with saves can be, as we can't reproduce it at our end. We've added some checks and additional savegame method in the latest version, hopefully it should help.
Feels like an idle game I somehow still have to sit through. It's practically impossible to die if you just stay at max range. Any difficulty the game has feels unfair because it's a weird combination of walking slower than a dead seal, sight of a love child between a bat and a star-nosed mole, and reload time which could be compared to actually making the bullets on the spot. I only finished lvl 6 and do believe the game gets harder later on but it feels it will only get frustrating. Mby, bcs, in a way, there's nothing to do. With more upgrades, at least I could leave the game on on a x-5 lvl, farm some souls, build a killing machine and just rush the last few levels.
I honestly doubt anyone who sat through those papa's slavery simulator games just for their badges, could possibly have enough strength left to play only for badges ever again.
TLDR: Average game, didn't finish (maybe it gets AWESOME later on, idk), seems like lots of potential but I feel it could be much more.
This game is bad and everyone involved with it should feel bad. Honestly, only reason I still come back to kongregate is to get badges of the day and check if there are any new idle games (sry, I like those =P). Lately, most of the badged "games" on kong are chores, not fun in any imaginable way. Whose idea was it to badge this waste of bandwidth? That person should be fired. And the person that badged those papa's pizzeria "games", that would be better described as an unending stream of diarrhea than a "game", should be burried somewhere shallow.
It's an interesting game but save problems are making it very annoying to play. My save is gone (again) and this is the probably last time I'm playing it. Fix it, it's gonna cost you players.
Seems like a great game but it gets a bit slow towards the start of the world II. It could use some more content too. Just an idea for an offshoot game: name it "immoral hero idle" and put some different pictures in there XD
Imo, items shouldn't have to be sold, they should all be movable. Upgrades (motor, balloon. hammer 'n stuff) should be item specific, not global. The way it is now, I end up using one upgraded engine which I can never sell because upgrades are abysmally expensive. I don't use any stock parts, they're weak and selling them to move them somewhere else just makes them more and more expensive. That means, even if I get new cogs, not only do I have to pay their price, I also have to sell an engine and then upgrade it all over again. I don't think it's a good mechanics.
I think games should be fun, let us experiment, not be an exercise in patience or long term planing. If I wanted to play "real life: the game", I would get off the computer, not on it.
Good point about letting the player experiment. I'll need to think of it. Right now when you sell the part, the buying price goes back as well (but not precisely to the old level)
I wanted to post a real review and then I remembered I hate this game with every fiber of my being so I'm just gonna say that no good sides can make up for it being so bad and still getting badged. Those crap badges make me so angry I sometimes think of leaving kong for good.
It's a good game but there are some issues. The interface is a bit clunky and it's annoying that the whole screen scrolls when I get to in-game bounds. Amongst other things: I'd suggest that power consuming facilities turn off automatically (or at least a part of them) when the storage limit is reached. Storage upgrades are WAY too costly (first thing I need meteorite for costs 1k meteorite and I need to spend 1550 meteorite to even be able to acquire >1k storage space). Maybe start with enough storage for a first upgrade? And ofc, there's the issue of costs not reducing when we destroy a building. All in all: good game, great potential but it needs to be polished a bit and my vote will be 5/5.
We are currently doing a behind the scenes overhaul, where variables are becoming dynamically stored, meaning that things like the destruction costs will no longer be an issue. Along with this, we are having some costs changes too, and the storages will not require 100% full to upgrade it in the future.
There's nothing fun about this game. Clicking "open chest" is absolutely unnecessary and we should be able to restart a quest without healing, maybe even "start when healed" button. Additionally, having to manually restart quests is a very bad mechanic for a game like this. Items should automatically be collected and quests restarted once the hero is healed. When I want him to take another quest, I would just cancel the current one and start another. Items should be able to be equipped even while the hero is on a quest, you can update his stats when he finishes his current quest
Battle system is out of whack and totally bringing the game down. It's a pure gamble and you aren't lucky enough to do it perfectly, the reward is generally too small to replenish the lost troops. That would fly if battling would unlock something every figth but this way it's an absolute sinkhole. At least adjust it so that if you have more troops, they kill more and die less. Maybe that would be broken too but at least it wouldn't be frustrating.
Couldn't the difference be displayed when you click on a row/column? And why is it necessary to even click on a row/column? There is enough space to display the difference over or on the side of the rows/columns. Yes, I am VERY lazy.
Please, just PLEASE add a "buy until next boost" multiplier for buying stuff. Such a simple addition to the game that makes it much more fun to play =)
Since you said please twice, I'll have to add it. Gonna work on it tonight, just not sure what to call it to fit into the blue box. BUY TNB? (to next boost)
Edit: Done!
