@Paparoach212kill, No, he never killed himself. He just only played sad songs after that, he was the son of a Muse and therefore Immortal. He used to play pretty songs for the animals and such, but after wards his songs were heartbreaking in his mourning. If I remember right, he might have begged Hades to take his soul, as well... Don't remember how that turned out (might be mixing myths)
Beautiful... It's the story of Orpheus and Eurydice... He loved her enough to go to Hades and back for her... Every time he wanted to look back, he was reminded that if he did, she would be gone to him forever... In the end his love and suspicion of the God of Hell overides his trust and he looks back, feet from the surface... only to see her horror-stricken face for the fleeting moment before she's gone... He only played sad songs after that... It makes me cry, thinking about it.
