There _is_ a fast play mode - you may want to read the game description.

I didn't believe it was possible, but this game actually exceeds the third part by far. I particularly like that the fourth character can switch into the battle anytime, instead of just watching his/her comrades being slaughtered. You're also a good man for replacing the single inn of the third game with the rather abundant slime bunnys - walking the damage off or teleporting to The Town was often annoying. 5/5 and favourited!

@ consecration: As far as I know, consecration increases damange for resisted attacks while the elemental skill increases damage done to critters weak against the used element.

The small healing potion has the best ratio HP/gold which makes the "better" potions kind of pointless... After all, 15 small potions still need only one slot in the inventory.

Great concept, great game, 5/5. It isn't that challenging, though - even the last level on highest difficulty is pretty easy if you have leveled up enough. A level pack might fix that *hinthintwinkwink* ;)

@Shinigami / J9: "Armored only" in the battle settings might help.

Very nice game; I have two suggestions, though. 1) IMHO the game is a bit stingy with money/crystals. Like that, the shop tends to be rather useless. Raising the time boni or letting the player sell the cheaper ores might fix that (or does anyone still forge iron weapons in Wormwood Hollow?) 2) The item drops are a bit unbalanced. I'm always short on grips and poles but drowning in shield paint (as well as sword guards and arrow materials).

@szbnahl: Just to give a few other tactics if you don't feel like using those two: The accuracy boosting skill from the inventor's "helmet" helps your melee fighters to hit the pixies reasonably well. The immunity against all of the elements means that Solaar is the only magic attacker (other than Elwyen) who can damage them. Since only magic attacks are perfectly accurate, that's pretty helpful, too. Still, Elwyen's Dolorous Dirge is probably the easiest way to go. To protect her from confusion, Gloria can help, too (also with Null Air Once, she's a bit slower, but much more variable than Sharla) and in a bind, the skill "Clarity" or just the amethyst earring (Aeropolis Shop) will work, too. TL;DR: Let us all thank Pseudo for the amazing variety of actually usable (!) characters! ;)

@dralos: Yes you can - it's just completly ignored storywise. You do get an achievement for it, though. [It becomes rather manageable if you stack some New Game +. The enemies' strength doesn't increase as fast as yours, especially if you invest in Intelligence and/or Luck]

psycholemon: It is - those stats have a maximum at 10% which you reach if the respective skill is at 100% (= has a green number). Since the maximal skill rises faster then the automatical skill increase (duh^^), Crit% etc. will sink if you don't invest into luck etc.

@Tim: Or use the menu's map instead. It shows all treasure chests, including hidden ones. Also helpful (read: necessary) to find hidden pathways.

Might be supersition, but I feel my teammates shoot better if my passes reach them mid-air instead of falling directly on their feet...

Replacing the (somewhat redundant and way too few) "wave destroyed"-XP by a bonus based on the remaining gold at the end of the mission might help with the level grinding after the hard badge to get the final achievement. Otherwise, straight 5/5.

I'd really appreciate a listing (or at least a counter) of the titles I've won... Nevertheless, 5/5 without a doubt!

@lucky2008: Qualna is MEANT to be fairly weak, being the "diviner" and relying on brain rather than brawn. And he is pretty good at that, too; more or less subtly controlling your actions throughout the game. So, if you want a challenge, try Animus instead (although I believe he is easier to beat than Karnos, but that might be just me ^^).

Yeah, it's generally a good idea to revisit the last dungeon, at least if you're warped out automatically after beating the boss. There's ALWAYS something nice hidden, for example the bandit leather (magic defence + evasion-skill), the Geojacket (absorbs Earth-damage, VERY useful against Moric) or a cute little zombie dragon ^^

I'd rather pick Vehrn; both of them perform quite well, though. Vehrn's main selling point is his MASSIVE dmg output against the undead (read: almost everyone worth mentioning). The final Boss is weak against light as well as against air, so both characters will work there. I find Vehrn quite good in Ch.3 - you can equip him to deal Light, Earth and Water/Fire/Air Damage (one of the three latter at one time) which is perfectly fine for the whole game. Zach is stuck with Air, nonelemental Damage and one dark technique with fixed damage (and nonelemental sucks). tl;dr, Zach's probably worse but still decent...

@Gchick: Were you hitting an enemy that absorbs the dealt damage? In that case health or mana leach will reduce your own pool. You can check resistances by clicking its health display in combat or by checking the encyclopaedia; a resistance >100% means that the monster (or the hero, e.g. if (s)he's wearing the earth jacket) absorbs a certain amount of the respective damage.

Remove Taint or even Bonestone / Vim works, too. Teach Vim to two of your heros, equip the other ones with the Bonestones and victory is ensured ;) About the game: It sure sucks if you need it quick and dirty - but take your time to understand the controls, read the (anything but boring) dialogs and let the game become amazing instantly. You're playing a RPG here, for heaven's sake, it _needs_ a proper story and this one is really good - an enjoyable mixture of drama and a nice sense of humor. I really, really look forward to the 4th chapter (I finished ch.3 with the exception of the solo arenas) - it's kind of a shame that you won't work on it before long, but I'll rather wait four years for a great game than one year for a mediocre piece of work.
