I just started picking up flash again after many years off since I last used it (Flash 3). This tutorial (and the subsequent 7 as well) are hands down the best programming tutorial i've EVER seen. Oh and I managed to "beat the game" in less than 60 seconds. You just pound on the buttons and it comes up with some black screen that says "Fin". Srsly, its not a game. Oh and get someone to check your spelling and grammar. The spots I stalled at my button pounding it became painfully obvious that its written by an ESL student. Terry S
To the developer: If you want to make a good "286 era RPG" like this, try playing the Geneforge series to get an idea of what you should be doing. And get someone else to do your graphics. 1/5 Terry S
Found a very annoying glitch now that i'm at the end of the game. Early on (like second castle) you can get 3000/3000 friendly with a group from doing quests. Then you keep doing them and it goes down and you have to get it back up to 3000. So now that i'm at the end, I cant do the final few quests...
Fantastic for a first game in the series. Minimal glitches and errors. I somehow ended up at the level 3 dungeon once when I entered the level 1 dungeon, but besides that, nothing major. Gameplay is solid and fast paced. No real need for ungodly amounts of leveling makes this a successful RPG jsut by itself. Oh and Wizard is the only way to go. ;) 5/5 Terry S
Well, i've pretty much done all the stuff you can do as a free player and I'd have to admit, its a fun time waster for a couple weeks. I spent about as much time on this as I did on other games on this site so its not all that bad. Give it a try, just do the quests and achievement diary, use the wiki site for info and enjoy yourself. 5/5 Terry S
The atrocious collision detection from Achilles is still there. The damage is too random. The attacks upgrades require better input than Flash can support. Losing progress when attacking enemies from the left is a terrible idea. You've created yet another terrible game. At least you cant decimate it like you did with starfighter. 1/5 is being generous.
