skill overcomes either defence or resistance (depending on which type of attack you use, attack or magic) but also boosts the amount of damage you do as well. and as for healing I can heal just fine. I have a spell I can use 2 times before my SP runs out that heals me completely... of course I am a shaman (mage of spring) and it is my best spell as almost ALL my spells are healing spells or buff spells. some classes just heal better than others. others have more attack spells.
what I would like to see is more theamed weapons. there are supposed to be spirits of the seasons (spring, summer, winter ) but yet there is no staff of spring or shotgun of summer. if you have a theme stick with it. me I'd like to see a staff of spring with +40 magic, +12 speed, +15 luck, +35 defence for say level 90 (these are all from spells I can cast at level 90 and using all my SP that would be what I can get)
yes I would like to see more gold. even if you only make the fort quest something you can do daily. as for selling weapons, there is no need for it. If you know where to go there is plenty of silver to be had. and by the time you are lvl 40+ silver is not a problem.
Nice game.
though I would have prefered arrow keys for my controls. and a bit better desciption for the weapons. hard to choose what works best for you when the money is tight and there is no resale value if you pick wrong
deathreaven, you are thinking of the quest "burning heart" and yes I completed that with 2 other lvl 18 characters. you obviously have yet to find "into the fire" in the bleakwoods. post back when you finally do.
and the next thing you finish the quest "into the fire" and all you get is a lame lvl 20 staff.... It took me as a level 60 character to even be able to stand up to the main creature.... how a level 20 guy is going to win against that is beyond me. (20k hp and an attack that hits me even in the best armor for 800hp PER hit) even easier quests say level 40+ needed.
I'd rather he fixed the gold problem. lots of things cost gold but you can't buy it (other than with real $$) fine to have the world shop only sell stuff using it BUT either have the items selling elsewhere (smithy in frost area, rams head in beginnig area etc.) so if you want stuff you can travel for it OR you can use gold to get it. and/or make the fort quests something that you can do say once a day and get the gold. (or even once a week...)
way, way too short. lucky as there is NO save. while this has been fixed somewhat in game 2. the whole thing changes yet again in 3. help when choosing stats in all three games would be nice (an idea of how adding to stat x MAY help you in arena) prefer game 3
too much clicking for me. got a hand cramp. have to agree with grondinm, needs a pause so I can give my hand a break... and had same prob as evil_one275 with the link, gets in the way of shooting plane down...
have to agree with shaedo. also the ability to look down to see where the next platform is( or up too), instead of a blind leap of faith would help too...
nice game. A little basic but well worth going thru the 6 times to do it as EACH mage. As stated elsewhere game has potential. talking to head mage at home base will help you pick your strengths, choose wisely and you can win earlier.
really good game. had problems with lag but I am assuming it is my old PC. only thing as eveyone else has commented it needs a better soundtrack (or some alternate ones) after the 3rd or 4th time hearing it it does get on the nerves...
