Instant one star. I don't care if this gets downvoted, because the entire series is exactly the same. Bad. Repetitive in a bad way. The only thing that changes is the item being sold (pizza, hot dogs, ice cream, whatever). Even the music is exactly the same.
I got this computer a month ago, it was a top-of-the-line gaming computer at the time. Why do all ThingThing games lag horribly? It can't be my computer, can it?
Depends how you define 'game.' If you're saying that because it poses no challenge, or because it's straightforward, then your definition is based off of skill. Meaning a game isn't a game if it's "too easy." But being easy or hard wasn't the point, here. It wasn't supposed to have a convoluted path, because I wanted the story to be the focus here, told though a game medium. So no, it isn't a game, but it uses the layout of a game to convey the story and experience I was shooting for. It all depends on what you're looking to get out of the experience, and if you aren't playing this for the story, the atmosphere, or the overall feeling, then yeah, you're gonna miss the point.
You're doing it wrong, so far. When starting out, you need to make the enemies do single-point damage. You've got a random cat or dog in the Field killing us in three hits while we're doing 1 damage to them.
Thanks for the comment. You should try to throw it at an high enough angle, so the rocket will have enough time to reach the javelin. I limited the rocket speed on purpose for three reasons:
------------- 1. so that the game wouldn't be all about throwing at low angles (it would because higher angles wouldn't really bring you good scores then).
------------- 2. so that throws with which you don't hit the javelin also significantly count towards a highscore.
------------- 3. so that trying to hit the javelin would be a more balanced timing challenge instead of just always chasing the javelin at a so high a speed that it would be really really difficult to time anything right unless being just plain lucky.
My wife pointed that out to me too. I posted the game late last night, but I am fixing that issue, now.
