I have no idea why but the mere fact that upgrades make the weapon look cooler makes this better than any game that doesn't, even if that game has better reviews in my oppinion
PRO TIP: if you keep dying to an enemy due to bad luck, get money to upgrade your weapon, go to any area, end the day immediately, then buy the weapon to fight the enemy. If you die, you'll still be able to have the weapon.
This game is AWESOME! I'd been looking for an RPG similar to the first 2 Final Fantasy games and this was perfect for that! One bugs: some of the GUIs have weird text overlays so you can't see the whole thing. Another thing: the enemies don't have names or specific HP/MP bars. I would LOVE a sequel with better voice acting, smoother/more animations, a bigger plot, etc. I would gladly pay 10 bucks to see that!
Ok I love this game, I've been looking for a platformer on PC for a while and this is perfect. The first thing I don't like is the void hitbox, since in SMM2 it's a bit lower and with similar jumps to that it feels a little wonky.
