@Satanjin You must have a bomb in order to use one. Also, you cannot use a bomb for the majority of the time you are invincible (why waste a bomb there?)
@kahimari Thank you!!! That's the kind of bug report I need to figure out what's causing this. I'm not sure if this is the same issue, since I still can't reproduce it, but I found a glitch with the laser stages if you get killed while the boss is entering. This has been fixed... let me know if the issue still occurs!
@eddagosp Haha. Yeah, that's not happening for a very simple reason: in order to do the collision, it checks a pixel. Having more than a box for the collision would slow things down by a very large amount. There's no information about where the "inside" of the boss is, so you'd be able to go inside the boss and not get hit, or it'd be extremely slow. Consider this an easter egg!
@slurpz Part of the difficulty at the advanced levels of play comes from the fact you have to grab the powerup before the boss dies. Also, it would be too easy to grab the powerup if it stayed when the bullets were gone!
@Uxtull There do appear to be similarities between the two. In my defense, though, not only is the rest of the song different (the menu and boss theme come from the same song), but I got the music from www.incompetech.com. So complain to them if the music isn't original enough for you!
@TehFlan I've been hearing your issue from a (small) number of different people. I currently have no idea why it's happening though. What's your computer, browser, and flash player?
@ivod Very close. Two things though: missing a life powerup is akin to losing a life. With this in mind, 3 allows losing a few lives. 4 does not require powerups (besides the life powerup up). I'm looking into the bomb, keyboard layout, powerup visibility, and disappearing boss bug guys! Keep the issues comin'!
@Exosus All the stages were balanced by me directly for hard mode. This doesn't mean medium and easy aren't balanced, nor does it mean hard mode is perfectly balanced. Different playstyles will cause different stages to be more or less difficult. For example, the final stage in easy mode is a perfect example. If you try to dodge all the obstacles, it's at least as hard as medium. If you sit at the bottom where nothing spawns, it will be extremely easy. Finding safe locations makes easy and medium much easier, and hard mode possible. I hope that helps!
@mactire20 Compared to most games that use a mouse, this one actually lets you get away with not using the mouse much. It's not going to be as easy, but you can aim in the general area of the boss and still move around.
Updated the game with some of the changes requested! Some things, such as auto targetting, will have to wait until a sequel, though. Though you won't want basic auto targetting in it, I assure you. Keep up the comments guys!
@LordSandwich There's spots in almost every wave on easy where you can just sit and not get hit. On medium, these spots are few and far between. On hard, they don't exist.
Geez, and here I was happy that it had a score of 3.53 out of judgement... o.o
I'm glad so many people found this fun to play! P.S.: I'm working on making the crosshairs better for ya shadow!
@LibertyPrime The game is specifically designed to avoid cheap shots. If you've already got a lot of skill in bullet hell type games, this won't be hard to beat. Keep in mind, though, that 4th highest in any category right now isn't all that high. Even my scores are far from perfect. If you want more challenge, go for the shiny rating in hard and endless. I was too lazy to get them =P
