I often find myself topping 15 kills per round with only one or two deaths and always coming out on top (at least 99% of the time). Not to sound conceited, but maybe it's because I'm just a big stick arena fan, or maybe it's just because I play alot. But through the years, I've gathered up quite a few strategies. ----------------------- Weapon Strategy Guide: ----------------------- Shotgun -> Good vs. virtually anything. Remember to keep on moving with this weapon and hold down the mouse for fastest firing. If the opponent has a long range weapon, feel free to move in and across the opponent to drive off their aim. Moving side-to side won't help, you move slooow. If you can, always use the shoot-n-hide method and pick off your opponents quickly. If they move in on you, move in back on them. Pistol -> My second favorite weapon, good range, good speed, decent damage, consistent accuracy, gives away your spot though. Don't go shooting this randomly. Instead, use shoot-n-hide. Unless you're sure you're in the clear, don't go out into the open unless the opponent has a short-range weapon. This shaves off as quick as an AK-47, so feel free to waltz in and pick off those guys. AK-47 -> Used mostly for it's good range. With this, stay far away form your opponent. A good weapon to have out in the open or down a narrow alley. If you're going down a narrow place, just keep on shooting and don't worry about giving away your position. Not only will you be able to find your opponent's place easily, you will also be able to shave a few shots off of him and will also cause him a bit of panic. However, stay away from short range weapons, they demolish you. Bat -> If it comes to this or a sword, go for this. Sword -> If they have an AK-47 feel free to tear them apart. Great speed, great against sledges. Just move in and cross your opponents as many times as you can. Sledge -> See sledge strategy guide -------------- Hierarchy map: -------------- Shotgun- counter with pistol or sword Pistol- counter with shotgun or another pistol AK-47- counter with a short-range weapon, sword works best Bat- counter with any ranged weapon, AK-47 is risky though. Sledge is a definite Sword- counter with a bat or pistol works well. If you can use a shotgun well, go for it. Sledge is a good idea, unless you're really low on hp. Sledge- Counter with any weapon besides bat, sword works very well in most situations --------------------- Sledge Strategy Guide: --------------------- This deserves its own section. Some say sledge sucks, some say it's awesome. I agree with both. When to go for a sledge: 1. Low HP, go for the sledge and find a corner 2. When everyone has close range weapons 3. When you just spawn and are forced into a run and hide situation. Strategies: 1. Always find a corner. Never go out in the open or you are dead. If someone's outrunning you, never chase them. Run and hide as fast as you can. 2. Lure them into a corner or a closed area and cut them off. There you can take em easily. 3. If they try to do a fakeout and lure you out, as soon as they START moving in, just go for it. They won't have time to go out and they won't expect it. Make sure that you start moving right when they do or you won't catch them. 4. If you're in a narrow alley way and you see someone coming, even if it's at the other edge of the screen, go for it. They won't be able to see you until you're right at them, and they won't have enough time to react anyways. If you are up against a sledge that is stuck in a corner: Make sure you have a pistol or sword. Use the lure-out method, as soon as they miss you with their sledge, move in at stay as close as you can to them. If you're too close, they can't hit you. If you can't, at least cross them as much as possible. If you have a shotgun, just lure, shoot, and hide. ----------------------------- General tips I use every round: ----------------------------- 1. For most maps, the shotgun is easily the best weapon. Always go for it first. If not, then go for a pistol or AK-47. Observe which weapons are near you. For example, if there is a bat Bat VS Sword, get the bat. But if nobody is near and the others all have ranged, get the sword. 2. Use the walls. That's basically what's gonna get you 15 kills over 3 deaths. 3. Don't waste bullets. Even though there's unlimited ammo, unless you have an AK-47, shooting randomly is basically a sign that says "GUESS WHAT? I'M RIGHT HERE!" 4. Always keep moving. Crossing people helps too when you're face to face. Only keep hidden when using the hide-n-shoot method, which is usually what you'll be doing. Hope this helps. :D Have fun! ©
