The ninja "works" WAY better than the knight... but only the "Z" command. I even beat a GIANT... it's not a terrible concept, but it's a terrible execution for now.
One of the most engaging "idle" games I've ever played... Still, gets quite monotonous after about level 200. Could definitely use a few updates to provide more variety to keep me coming back for more... perhaps introduce additional enemy types later in the game, or open a whole new dungeon... maybe also another crystal for attack rings, or something for new spoons, too... On the whole, You get 4/5 stars, which is REALLY high for a clicker/idle game!!!
Honestly, I would love to play this game to completion, but I just don't see ANY reason for it to be MMORPG. It's a single player game that I can barely play because there are dozens of other people playing it at the same time, which causes the servers to lag.
If you ever make a single-player version, let me know. I'll play the SNOT out of it, but until then, I'm OUT. 4/5 for a beautiful, fun game, but missing a star for the Multiplayer lag and the freemium money system.
You should add a way to join a friend's Honor Guard without having to click their invitation link. (It loads a completely new instance of the game when I click one... which takes FOREVER.) It seems like making the empty slots clickable could do it, or perhaps adding a button. I realize these will probably be low on the to-do list, but it would make the social aspects of the game much easier to navigate here on Kong.
I would really like there to be some kind of hover text or something to tell you how to unlock things in the "Mission" tab. I'm at Level 12, and everything is either completed, too hard, or locked. I don't know how to unlock Novum Dolorum missions (and I shouldn't have to go look it up on a wiki or forum post to find out.)
In the later levels, the particle and liquid effects are causing so much frame drop that I simply cannot finish the level, even with time slowed down. I would really appreciate an option to turn them off...
I have an idea that MIGHT help you continue working on this... (but I don't know for sure how easy/hard it is to transition.) Could you port what you have to Unity? Unity seems to have more flexibility for larger games. Sorry to say I'm terribly ignorant, but I'd LOVE to know that there was a complete version of this game to play!
WOW!!! You have achieved what I thought impossible! An "Idle" game that is SO fun to play that I actually WANT to play it! By HAVING a puzzle to play, you have actually given the game a purpose, rather than mindless clicking (or just employing an auto-clicker, more often than not).
Now, I have a challenge to combine the largest combo of fuzz, or work to drop the ooze jar off the screen! BRAVO!!! You have earned 4 out of 5 Kongregate stars (the highest I will rate an "Idle" game).... BRAVO!!!
I would really like to see a speed button... right now, I click go, then check my facebook till I notice that I don't hear any more battle noises (like 10 minutes later) then come back to see if I've won or lost... sure, I could tip the scale slightly in my favor by using my special skill twice and the boat barrage twice (since they recharge so slowly), but I really don't mind losing occasionally, anyway... still, I've typed (and edited in several places) this entire comment, and my guys have only managed to hack their way through two groups of enemies... just entirely too slow...
Still terribly buggy. Some of the issues from DL2 haven't even been fixed. I really like the concept, but I just can't give it more than 3 stars in its present state...
The concept is decent - 3 stars.
The music is EPIC - it almost earned you an extra star... except,
The SPELLING (notwithstanding British vs. American English spellings) is ATROCIOUS!!! It's SO bad, it takes the whole game down to 2 stars... (I guess I should have known, Chaos is spelled wrong IN THE TITLE!!!)
Please, please, PLEASE spell-check your game before you publish episode 3.
Thank you for the feedback. About the spelling, we must admit we're not native English speakers, although we had many friends spell-checking us (some of them are, in fact, native English speakers).
About the 'main' mistake you told about, it's not a mistake: as we wrote in the description, in some dialogues, in Gilbert's thoughts and in many notes, the word is "Caos" and not "Chaos"; it's latin, not English, and our choice has many reasons to be that. We specified many times it is not a mispelling, even in some dialogues.
Anyway, we'll do our best to improve our English mastery during the development of the next episodes. We hope you'll enjoy them much more.
I'm with Ninjaboss... my computer's not THAT old, but I can barely finish level 4 because all the particle effects cause so much lag... if you give me a graphics quality button so I can turn them off and keep playing, you'll instantly get a fourth star, but right now your at 3/5 and I'm done...
well... it appears to work... I roll the ball around, pick up 5 blocks, and I win... does that make it ready for a Kong badge?
Next step, I'd like to have some acceleration impact effects (bounce the ball off the wall!) along with multiple levels... I definitely think you've got a good starting point for the classic marble race genre game!
This game has GREAT potential... and I want SO badly to like it... but it just has TOO MANY shortcomings to overlook... I should have just walked away when the tutorial was nearly impossible to navigate (for a man who's been playing games for 30 of his 35 years)... but I gave you a second chance... and when there were 900 buttons to click when you only needed about 5 in combat, I probably should have just rated you two stars and saved 30 minutes of time, but I drove on, because I was having fun... but if I had really noticed that every time I looked, the SAVE BUTTON WAS ALWAYS GREY, and that half an hour later I was SUDDENLY going to meet guys that were actually HARD (for a change) and I was going to DIE without any SAVE DATA...
I Love this Genre of game SOOO much and I admire your effort so much that you're still going to get a 2/5... I want to play this game... only almost totally different...
I have thought of it, but I don't know anything about Unity.
