And to the army size realism comments: Too much realism makes a game boring. Touria's awesomeness deserves an overly massive army, and I like the feeling of spending more troops on combat than exist in the world!
Thank you for the lag fix! I'm pretty sure it's improved a lot since the super laggy times of yesterday.
Now, just to bide my time....and tomorrow I might have the 2.5 billion troops I need to storm the grey isles!
<3 seriously happy to hear this! Knowing what helped people also helps me advance as a programmer. I've learned a lot of stuff thanks to the feedback from you guys and it's been great. Although I still have concerns about making new content right now. I will see exactly how the game runs for people since there definitely is an issue going on with some components from Unity 4.6 and if there really isn't anymore lag at all I can begin work on the dialogue overhaul update. ~Taiga
Still some lag problems, i think. Example: cathedral takes 6 seconds but says it should take 4.4, I am using low quality already. It was fine for me with the new update, before the lag "fix"
I timed all of these objects with a clock and threw my findings into the Kingdom Overview screen. All objects run in a framerate process which means that if you are loading a youtube video, it may cause a 1 second or 2 second delay, heck even receiving Skype messages can affect it. It will vary from computer to computer. Please do not use that timing as a perfect representation on when something should complete. I have optimized my game the best I can. Now we wait for Unity to optimize their web player. ~Taiga
The altar speed will remain at a constant value now. The quantity gained was not nerfed. Conquering the world adds to altar multipliers and the update will include a dialogue overhaul for Catherine and new economy structures which will be adding more gold and what not gained. The gains were not nerfed too badly it was a slight 'nerf' for now but it will be changed more once I've added the new economy structures which give you more resources. The slight nerf was to accommodate for the fact that you can gain permanent multiplier boosts to the altar per world-conquest now. ~Taiga
No but gains from conquered countries do not factor into offline mode so that might be why so many people think offline progress is 'slower' but it's really just conquered countries are making a bigger different than people think. They won't factor into offline mode either because I'm not sticking with the current system. The new system, they will. ~Taiga
Troops do lots of things. They march. They stick things with their swords. =). Seriously though, you want to bulk up on gold first so you can bulk up on dark knights, so you can reset and bulk up on gold AND troops and RULE THE WORLD! >=)
