"You defeated a bunch of chickens. Congratulations." I mean...when you say it like that, you make it seem like such a small accomplishment. Why you gotta be a motherclucking jerk about it? XD
The trick to the double moving flame puzzle is to wait until both flames are moving in the same direction and then dash. If they're out of sync after you activate the gate, wait until they're in sync/moving in the same direction again before you dash out of the gate area again. Rinse and repeat. I didn't keep an eye on the timer, but I completed this puzzle a couple of times this way without losing a life or having the time run down on me.
I always want to like these Sentry games, but they're woefully unbalanced. The controls are smooth but that's about it. The leveling and upgrade system feels like it doesn't do much at all, especially as the game progresses. Bullet hell games work better with a spray-and-pray gameplay style but this requires strategy even when you're in the middle of a hail of bullets and enemies. The arenas are so cramped that you too often get funneled into kill zones. The save feature only kicks in after completing a level so that you have to reset your pet and upgrade choices. Good concept but still needs a lot of work to smooth out the edges.
I really like how streamlined the interface is on this new Factory Balls style game. Fun to get a Halloween-themed Factory Balls game from Bart Bonte this year!
I can tell the AI to self-destruct over and over again and it's totally unbothered by that, but I can only say "F*ck you" to it four times before it leaves me to my fate. XD 5/5
Came for the easy BotD; stuck around for the game play. I enjoyed this sim enough to play through to completion. I would have liked a zoom as well as a drag feature, especially since the last mall has to be eight stories tall. Lots of fun, though!
As much as I HATE platformers (I'm only playing for the Cuteness Overload quest) I think that the ability to finesse the physics to minimize deaths adds something interesting and unique to this platformer's challenge. I'm glad for cinematic mode, otherwise the small graphics might make this nearly unplayable. As others have said, a restart key would be player-friendly. I think this is a good, challenging platformer even though it makes me tear my hair out because...platformer.
