Wow. I really love when a game comes around that really defines what Flash games should be. Like Elephant Rave (yes, Elephant Rave), the Music Catch series focuses on fast gameplay, bright colors, and catchy sounds. Both games are very beatable, yet very enjoyable, and unlike the flood of shooter-type Flash games currently filling up Kongregate, these games make sure that you, the player, will remember them throughout your day. An instant classic in my book, and definitely a cut above the original with the additions of customizable patterns and mp3 playing. You want a good time? Try the 10-minute version of Free Bird. (My highest multiplier was 244 and I finished with a score of 32,427,365.) Kudos to Reflexive. I look forward to more.
Point and clicks are always boring without quirkiness, and this series nails it. I feel like the art and level design are on par with The Visitor and the Reemus series, while the voice acting and overall concept really make this collection a cut above the rest. I anxiously look forward to more titles from this developer. Kudos!
Noctem, I wish I knew my way around code enough to say this was what my first game looked like. You've got the obvious kinks to work out, but you know that, and knowing you, you're already making moves on either an update or a new game entirely. Congratulations, friend.
After finally getting the badge, I can say this: Elephant Rave is the perfect Flash Game. It's short, it's cute, and it's challenging. If it didn't have a badge, people wouldn't be complaining because they'd be having so much blind fun and so many seizures, they'd have no time at all to complain.
