Feb 6, 2015 4:33pm One thing that happens when you finish the quest of killing 15 Orc Fighters and 15 Orc warriors, Takai could give a fortune wheel ticket or a letter attached to a kunai which is very unnecessary as it can be obtained from the damned cave later on

Not a major issue but leaves less room for said archer to kite. Since the characters can actually jump incredibly high, locating the terrain on a higher level than an ogre’s head would improve the game drasticaly for archer players; 2. Plot. Storyline is quite fun and all but… after you kill the “boss”, you gotta “go randomly kill some beasts that appeared for no good reason, because I’m a NPC who just decided that you should do so.” Kinda leaves us puzzled. What are they? Why kill them? If “the guy who turned evil is the one who kept the land protected from the wolves who raided cities and ate people before he went mad…” the plot would have more sense than it has now and i know how ridiculous the crazy-protector idea is. lmao. Still, I’d say “road to success” for you guys. Amazing game and amazing mechanics! Ab. show less

I’ve completed the game as each of the three classes, and the problem you described with the terrain blocking arrows was what stuck out to me as the most aggravating part of playing as an archer (second is how long you have to wait between shots when starting out, before upgrading the one ability that decreases draw time and getting a slightly faster bow). I think a simple, but imperfect, fix for this problem would be to change the game so that the only platforms/terrain types that can stop arrows are ones that the player cannot drop through by holding down and jump. I wasted quite a few arrows trying to shoot alligators in the swamp, various titans near the stairs in the ancient room, orcs in the watchtower, dark golems in the damned cave, and I’m fairly certain that I killed a few watchtowers and tents during “To The Orcs Camp!”. That last example in particular irked me, because there are so many of those towers and tents around, along with the standard land platforms, that it was almost impossible to get a shot to actually hit the enemy unless they were right by the character, at which point a sword would work just as well. I actually kept a pair of sabres on my archer for most of the game so that when I was fighting enemies in locations with lots of platforms I could just dual wield swords and jump around attacking the enemies like a slightly slower assassin.

It’s quite obvious, really. “accuracy” is the chance that YOU wont get a “MISS” when u attack a target; and “pierce” is how much armor you ignore when hitting it. Basically “armor penetration”, increasing the amount of damage dealt. For example, if choosing between a piece of armor with a high defense rating and one with lower defense but a boost to maximum health, such as the chest piece from the Lava armor set vs. the chest piece from the Samurai/Swift/Hunter sets (I realize the stats on enemy-dropped armor are semi-random, but for the sake of illustration assume this is the case), it would be useful to know how much additional damage is mitigated by the higher defense of the Lava armor, to get a rough idea of how much additional health it would be equivalent to in deciding which piece to wear. A similar example would the the tradeoff between higher average damage and a higher pierce rating on a weapon. Also, while I assume that “Pierce” has something to do with armor penetration, I thought it affected how much damage is done to enemies if they are struck while blocking. I suppose it could be both, if the game processes blocking as a temporary boost to a character’s defense based whatever bonuses are granted by their armor, abilities, and anything else (so that, if an enemy normally has a defense of X, while blocking it just goes up to something like 3X or 4X). I’m also interested in how the Critical Hit Damage and Critical Hit Rate stats affect the player’s attacks. Since they’re both given in percentages, and I’ve made a high-luck build warrior that has about 114 Critical Hit Rate when outfitted with the right combination of gear, does that mean that every time he attacks an enemy he critically hits it 1.14 times? I’m probably just doing way too much number crunching and analyzing, but it would probably be useful to provide such information for those players interested in it. show less

On the top of the hill, between “Razed House B” and “Razed House C”, is a larger (apparently undamaged) structure that is labeled “Farmer’s House”. You should see the name appear over the character’s head when you’re in front of the door. The person closest to you when you enter will give you the two quests. If you then continue to the right through the room, past one of the magic regeneration stones, you will see a doorway that leads to the “Farm”. If you go there you will encounter four periodically respawning boar you can kill, some pumpkins you can break open (and which may contain gold, potions, or other items), and little bush/tree type things which, when destroyed, will leave the pickups for the herb quest. Once you kill enough boar you can return to the person who gave you that quest to complete it; to complete the herb collecting quest you need to go to the “Underground” and talk to the potion shop salesman, on the upper right platform (he’s also the one who gives the “Medicine Delivery” and “Swampfruit” quests). show less
