The author's comments are strange. It was obvious to me in less than half a minute of play that circling was easily the best strategy. How is what's obviously the best strategy a bug/exploit?
Although I think this game is inferior to DTD, I think it's odd that some of the most common complaints against it are invalid. For example, it has keyboard shortcuts that are documented in the instructions, but I see many posts saying "BLAARG WHAR SHORCUTS?" Can people really not be bothered clicking "instructions"?
I played this last year and thought it was sorta fun. When I saw it had badges now, though, I knew everybody would now be hating on it. And I was right.
Still, this game is amusing. 3/5
Probably the best flash game of 2008. Unfortunately, I've already done everything on the version on pixeljam, and I'm not about to do it again here for a few badges (that took forever!)
Just got the hard badge, by the way, and I don't think it was at all too difficult - it was challenging, like it should be. The "justmadesoyoudontfeeltheresnothingmore" mode is super lame, though =P
I like this game, but it's got a problem - specifically, there's no reason to save your other towers. The best thing to do, currently, is let them all go and focus on protecting your main. In the original missile command, there was a scoring incentive for keeping your cities around; here, the only advantage is getting to use their powers, and except for shield siphon, I've found them to be next to useless. Even shield siphon is of limited use because there's no way to restore THAT tower's health, which means you lose it quite easily, which means all those resources were wasted.
