Meh. I got the emotion, the feeling, whatever you'd call it out of the story, but it wasn't really strong enough. I was hoping for a good ending or something, I didn't expect it though. Oh well. 3/5 I guess. I wasn't really impressed.
I get that its cute, but really, the levels are far too long and repetitive. Nothing ever really changes, except for the occasional new enemy. Not a very customizable shooter, either. Really very boring.
To all the people who say you should be able to kill guards - note the name of the game. Ultimate ASSASSIN, not MURDERER. You're hired to kill IMPORTANT people, thus assassin. The guards are hired guns, not the targets. They would be casualties.
Please fix the bugs. I just went out west from the second town and went into "Endless Battle Mode". Not only did the enemy have 178.8 HP, while other level 1's have 40 HP, when I died I spawned inside a tree. This gets a 1/5 from me until this crap is fixed.
Turrets can't hold their ground, even against moderately weak guys when maxed. Traps, stacked and slowed, cannot even deal 50% life against the weakest enemy. The cumulative damage from 5 traps hitting an enemy more than twice as much as normal due to being slowed by both barbed wire and tacks can't kill the weakest guy? Wow. Boomshot or whatever gets worse as it upgrades. Reload time increases.
Turrets suck. Anything past Assault Rifle sucks. Repair station doesn't work. Enemies suck. Overall, nothing about this game is balanced or worth playing more than once.
gm0n3y - if Desktop TD is the only other Tower Defense you've played, then you have no right to comment here. Most tower defenses are just like this, most others don't allow you to maze. This is one of many tower defenses, and this brings some more strategy and planning than other TDs do.
No matter how many times I play 44, the Anti-Ghosts that are supposed to kill ghosts fire 3 or more times more than they should at one, allowing the rest to go in - if I put any more cash into AA, I can't efficiently kill ground units, as regenerates... uh, regenerate... too fast for them. Meh.
... I really hope this isn't finished... because this is pitiful... Honestly, after 3 years one would think his programming skills would have increased... but this seems even worse than the prelude... this is just horrible...
Sorry for double post - by being based off Advance Wars, I mean nothing has changed at all. Same concept, same gameplay, nothing new, nothing better. Same crap in a slightly different wrapper.
