You need to establish objectives for your character to do. You need to then reward players with something once the objective is completed (e.g. coins, experience, etc.) Also, adding collisions would be nice so you don't float around everywhere. Keep working at it!
Tough game! I'd like to see some kind of "upgrades" section implemented to buy more time, maybe a few extra gameplay elements involved. I like the mortal kombat theme!
Sorry guys, this was just a UI rapid prototype for a practice GameJam. To make amends, I'll make an actual Cthulhu game and I'll even spell Cthulhu right this time, The Atari Kid. Cheers. ;)
Thanks for the response! Seems that there might be something wrong with the plugin or maybe I need to update C2. My game doesn't appear to be sending any data. :( Well, I'll figure it out eventually. Once again, awesome game! I'll have to try and creep back up the leaderboard soon. :)
Hey TinyViking. You can use the "submit statistic" action with the Kongregate plugin. Then, set up the statistic on the Kongregate website, making sure to tick the "Display on Leaderboards?" option. Make sure you export with Kongregate as the profile though - that was what stumped me for a while.
I LOVE the concept! Might want to implement a scoring system and High Scores as a player reward or maybe a time played leaderboard? (H+'ers are beyond such trivial things as "scores" and can see the inherent art behind playing simply for the experience interaction but not everyone is ready for the singularity :P)
All hail Bob Dobbs.
Awesome ragdoll physics! Now you need to implement some kind of gameplay goal (i.e. launch ragdoll into meat grinder, throw for longest distance, get down flight of stairs while maintaining limb integrety, etc.) Can't wait to see what v2 looks like!
