If you have an automatic gun and Old Glory, shoot your other gun and then switch to the Old Glory. You wont have to wait for it to fire.

Apparently, Soldier Frank "One-Eye" Brooks lost 7 eyes, throughout his life and then died of starvation, a bite he was hiding, and from zombies making it over the wall in one night.
