Istari, I've been playing the same levels for half an hour. It's not a matter of strategy, it's a matter of the computer starting off outnumbering you, outproducing you, and having faster travel times to the planets you need.
Add to that the fact that the both computer players prefer attacking you to attacking each other and you have a nightmare.
So don't tell me to 'suck it up'.
soon as you hit level 6, the computer has such a disgusting advantage, you can't beat it.
At least I can't. Maybe I haven't found the 'make the game playable' cheat code yet.
control is pretty simple really. click on a squad, then click where you want them to go. Single click to walk and shoot, double click to run like hell.
My only problem with this is the detail of the map. It makes the game too sluggish.
Some of these levels are essentially luck. The timed buttons make it almost impossible unless you hit things just perfect. There's no way to be clever about it.
1/5. It's not really a game, and once you use a tank you can't use it again.
Makes the entire thing just a matter of choosing the tanks in the only correct order.
Despite this being essentially an ad for a larger game, I have to give it good marks. It's different, and has good play to it. A little easy and short, but this is effectively just a demo.
Could be a lot better, but it's a good game.
Creative, good graphics, decent sound and nice enemies, not just the same thing every time.
Couls stand to be longer though.
If you only worked on this for a month, it shows. You get the rating you earn.
The graphics are lacking, though not horrible. The interface is overly simplistic.
Paying cash to cast spells? and melee being about useless? Someone thinks magic is a win-all.
The damage is far too unbalanced and levels don't seem to make any difference....
All in all, this is a suck game.
Love the animation, and the story was good.
However, this isn't a game.
It's more like a video book. A movie you have to click on every so often.
Kong isn't really the place for it.
Losing lots of stars for taking damage, when taking damage is unaviodable... Not the best plan there.
Would be mice if getting all those stars did something as well. Like allowed us some upgrades.
Or let us choose what maneuvers we were going to take in, or maybe having a couple plane types to choose from.
Just on the 'toss stuff into a fire puzzle' there are 78, 000 possible combinations.
I'm just not bored enough to go through them all, and that seems to be the only way to get it.
1/5 for being a complete waste of time.
So yeah... teleported the first time. I've got three towers, each with a puzzle, and no clues how to accomplish anything.
Puzzles should not be "try every possible combination until something works". That's not a puzzle, that's just drudgery.
