Not an RPG. RPG means grinding and leveling up. This game is a huge drag as you spend almost all of your resources making sure the town isn't going to drain all of your resources...
Which causes the town to drain all of your resources. Wow! Great, Smart Gameplay! (NOT) ............ 3/5 for gameplay style, reduced to 2/5 for poor weapons and difficulty keeping ahead of the curve, even in casual mode, reduced to 1/5 for the poor town gameplay aspect, reduced to 0/5 for everything going together so poorly.
Final Rating: 0/5
Even when I got my 2nd place faster than the computer, upgraded it hard so that it would get good profits, AND started taking the computer's customers when they had a less-upgraded 2nd place, the computer still suddenly pulled ahead of me.
3/5 for more of the same.
1/5 for poor goal choices that you rarely meet.
0/5 for a computer opponent you play against with unfair odds.
You'd think it should be hard enough if they have equal footing as you and they know the best choices to buy on the way up.
@RoddyVR, If you're still using tiny words, then iron is the way to go. They give base damage of 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25, respectively.
But if you're using larger words, then green letters are amazing. A 6 letter word with a 1 star jade letter gives it 9 damage split on all the letters (instead of just 5 with iron). While a 12 letter word is then 18 damage (instead of 5). So it adds up fast.
As for Brass. Multiple brass does nothing, but at least 1 brass makes your iron, brass, and jade letters explode on impact, doing area damage. So having at least 1 brass is vital to making some of those huge scores you see on the highscore list. I've never gotten over 200 without a brass in my word, and scored 484 one time by using nothing but brass and jade.
(I don't use iron anymore at all, they're too weak for my big words)
Extremely buggy. Achievements often overlap instructions, making you miss vital information. The jump-down thing causes game-breaking crash 100% of the time. Game is 3/5 at best. Giving it a 2/5 until bugs are fixed.
Pro-Tip! If you unlock all 8 letters then use them all in one word, it stuns all of the enemies from moving for a while!
Try it! It's not that hard! *plays level 57*
