In sheer terms of design and style, this is quite a fun little game.
I really wanted something to spend all my little coins on, though -- maybe a way to customize my little crab-guy (who is adorable).
A story wouldn't be bad? Why do I care if they touch the bottom? et c. Like an Echo the Dolphin kind of 'YOU ARE THE CRAB DEFENDER OF THE OCEAN' vibe. I dunno, something like that for me to get a tiny bit emotionally involved in.
Variety of missions would be cool, but is generally unnecessary -- the new enemy types introduced now and again tend to keep things lively enough.
Cute game. My only qualm is that I wish this game was more of an exploration, less of a puzzle -- it'd be neat to be able to try these items in combination and arrive at differing endings, rather than being shepherded towards 'winning'.
I'm playing it again, and take back the 'crude' part -- the graphics are neato on second glance, kind of retro in the SimCity mold, from back in the day.
This game is wicked cool. The minigame-component was just challenging enough -- each time I was like 'I'll never get this' -- until I did. And the prose + graphics are neat too. Very straightforward, fun. Keep making.
