So after all this I'm going straight to rating the game.
Starts with 5/5.
+1 for unique idea
-1 for no limits to player(I.E. there's no limit your paddle and ball power and ball production time, that way player can be very OP and find this game boring).
-1 for lagging and crashing for playing long period of time.
So after all that makes it 4/5.
So you don't like that the player is unlimited? I was thinking of keeping that in the reboot but making it more of a logarithmic growth (i.e. the higher you get, the less it matters). I am definitely looking into the lag issue.
The game's difficulty curve stops at one point, and the game is by far TOO easy if you know how to do it, white powerups help, while black powerups harm, I used this and got over 5 mil score, then got bored and suicided. Just make difficulty harder the longer player lives
The game is indeed designed to have a difficulty curves, but methinks I scaled the difficulty far too gently... That is one of the key issues I am working on in my development process: the difficulty curve.
Really? Were you hugging the left side at the start? If so, there is an enemy that comes out from that side and fires a laser... it's not an instant death, but it can seem that way.
My point is, players usually don't go close to enemy spawn points, therefore they will never touch the walls, or least when ~4 spawn points are active, and I don't see anyone wallhugging near enemy spawn points, and it's also impossible to hide behind a spawn point. Again, I rated this 5 and favorited it =p
I agree that it no longer makes sense, but back in the original game (the original original), wall-hugging was the best way to get a highscore, so I put it in and haven't had the heart to take it out :P. Thanks for the 5 and favorite :)
This is actually my first Stencyl game and I wanted to update it over time but still keep the original feel. When I first programmed it, I didn't realize that I could make walls that simply keep you in bounds without killing you :P. Now you can use blue walls if desired (they don't kill you).
How to ace lv40:Right white piece goes left, middle brown piece goes left, new middle brown piece goes up/left, new middle brown piece goes right 2 spaces, right white piece moves two spaces left/down one space, new right white piece moves left, left brown piece moves to the middle. All credits goes to Riluna(which her Kongregate name is Raina)
It pauses for a bit to show you the phrase. There could be lag when saving (if there is, it likely didn't save).
