Meh. Short, but clever. I'm not in love with S and spacebar as the action buttons. Why not A and S? There's no good reason. Over all, it just doesn't quite work for me.
The final boss is glitchy as hell. Not only does it suffer from the usual no-pattern nonsense of the other bosses, it also doesn't always register a hit. So if you can manage to hit the thing, it may not matter.
Whew! Challenging, but not impossible. I loved it! Take note, game designers, multiple checkpoints is your friend! That feature was really well handled and made the game infinitely more user friendly.
There's way too much of the same, over and over again. The mini games are buggy, not very good, and tedious as hell. Everything that was good in previous editions is bad here. Bigger is not always better.
I do love this game, but I agree with a lot of people that "Overload" is just a pain to get as it stands. I can complete every level with a Brilliant rating every time now (Burning Temples on high ground are the key to dealing with 90% of those pesky ninja) and it's actually kind of boring to grind the levels over and over again. Either the achievements need an exp reward or there needs to be an endless/hard mode.
I feel like the three base races are all much more effective than the others. Oh, you can win with the others, but it seems to be a lot harder and the decks seem a lot slower.
There's sortof this huge leap from where it's really hard to do anything at all to, just a few rounds later, when all you're really limited by is how long you can stand to keep the guy in the air. At that point, it seems a little silly because the high scores are all just people with an immense amount of patience and nothing better to do.
