As advertised... simple and addictive. Very classic feel. One comment/feature request. I love classic games, but one thing about "classic" games that always irritates me is the potential for the game to be "cheap." That is kill you/end the game in a way you had no way to defend against. For instance, in this game the lines appear to appear totally randomly. So there's a chance (and it happened to me once) that if you're collecting a ball near the edge, that a line will appear right there with no chance to avoid it. There should be code in the game to prevent that. As it stands, the longer the game goes the more chance it will happen... I would be furious if it happens after I collect 99 balls...
i made this game one year ago so i cant see the code anymore but i am pretty sur i implemented this feature because, yes its is annoying to die in a dumb way, but maybe i coded it with foots :p
The good ol' purposely make sloppy controls to make it hard game... a staple of the 80's. It's actually not bad, though. A little frustrating, but not as much as "Flappy Bird"
So, you analyzed our monsters and predicted an 80% chance that your monster will win? Well, i analyzed our monsters and i predict a 100% that my monster will win, with one hit, and yours won't even touch him. What's that? I was right? Girl, guess you just like saying random numbers 'cause you're bad at math...
No, sir, I don't like it. Extremely laggy. Crappy tutorial... it shows me how to play a basic platformer... oooh... I didn't already know that! Super Mario Brothers came out in the early 80's, we don't need a tutorial on how to play a platformer.... what keys do what in the "Game" tab is enough! How about how to create levels? What do all the stats mean? Why does every level, including tutorials, have a recommended level of 4+? Shouldn't the tutorials have a recommended level of 0 or 1? Why do the Kongpanions not give ANY BONUS of ANY KIND?!
Boring, nonsensical, and pointless. Sometimes I ran around a room over and over until something happened. I couldn't even tell what I did different to progress the story. I just round random running and jumping worked... that does not make a good game, sorry.
An original concept I haven't seen before. However, it becomes really easy once you figur there are only 3 possible patterns: 3 in a row, "tetris s/z/zigzag (whichever you want to call it)", and also the 5 part zig-zag. The two ends of either pattern will add to 7. Keep in mind that the entire pattern has to be covered by the same color or it doesn't work!
Ha! Medium badge easier than the easy badge. I knew it had to happen on Kongregate somewhere. Today's badge of the day: you don't need to fight, just dodge! Just visit the 50 bubbles and that's all you have to do... don't have to fight any of the bubbles in them.... Easy 15 points...
The pace, the pricing, and the quanties make this game extremely unrealistic and the hard badge nearly unobtainable. In concept, I liked the game, but the exponential increase in difficulty isn't scaled well.
Got the level 3 boss, and a score of 2275 without having anything upgraded all the way. So, it's defiitely possible! More luck than anything, for sure... but this game is just fun on a gut level.
OBVIOUSLY if I want to survive a horrible alien attacking me, I want to CLOG THE TOILET, fill the tub, and overflow the sink before I blow his brains out with my gun....
