According to Hobbes, the source of obligation to a contract lays in the sovereign's power to deal fear. The sovereign's power to apply such pressure comes from a contract between him and the people. The rhetorical question: but what obligates the sovereign to keep his end of the contract?
Why didn't Hobbes reply simply with, "Revolt"?
Are all the recruits still sorted by revenue? They don't appear to be, and that would be very helpful (if I don't want to waste my time with the baby recruits).
For all that buildup, fantastic details, interesting characters, and plot...I'm disappointed with the ending. You could have at least made music to suit a climax. Make us FEEL the direness of what's happening.
