I started out with that base code but this code i think is important enough to it.:
if(ground.hitTest(_x+(_width/2),_y-(_height/2),true)){
_x -= force;
}
if(ground.hitTest(_x-(_width/2),_y-(_height/2),true)){
_x += force;
}
insert this into your character and set a variable for "force"
this will allow you to make hills and such without adding extra code just make sure you make these obstacles in the ground symbol
cool idea :D ooo the story line could be really cool aswell. "after a failed experiment conducted by chef of staff and head researcher DR.Fei. mass swarms of other-worldly creatures have spawned all over the humble village of teatiro. and not only that but there attacking! DR.fei dumbfounded by the results of his project gone haywire, realizes he must take responsibility for his actions. While thinking of a solution he notices an odd dust cloud hanging around is laboratory and upon close examination he discovers he can control the phenomenon, and make it conjure up and shoot... Missiles?
i was a little thrown off at first (wasnt really paying attention) but then i got to the lvl were your well shaped different (you know what i mean) and i knew exactly Wat this game was about....
my story is so sinister ^^ i start ut as huffelpuf but i have the power to control very dangerous animals very well. so during the war against voldermort i go on his side and help him win and in exchange i get a very rare dragon.

I liked it, and it was not as jumpy nor was it as glitchy as the last game :D it was a tad short though, i know when u think your game is really good you want to just release it already (trust me i know the feeling all to well XD) but it helps to hold back a lil while even if you think its done. but i really liked the walking on the words lvl i thought that was pretty funny XD can't wait to see the next installment 4/5
so this is the end of the series :? well i think they progressively got better (i still think combining all the parts into one would be a good idea) but a suggestion for the next series, it could be a spin off of this. The soxs against the mox. i think if u spent at least several weeks on that kinda project you could come up with a pretty decent platformer :D
Good idea, might want to make more possibility's in terms of paths, you know just to keep ppl on there feet. Oh and i guess this isn't to big a deal but making it so 4 left turns can't happen in a row, mite make it seem more realistic (unless it's a magic maze in which case defying the laws of physics would be completely reasonable XD)
not but seriously its a good concept and game, just need to figure out how to make the game a lil less jumpy, power ups would be cool if it were a bit longer, like "color Blast" you gain power to triple jump or something of that sort :D
