I gotta say I was a bit hesitant at first but I really loved it! The music was good, the game was easy enough to grasp with clear cut objectives that keep you interested until the song ends. Good stuff, simple and fun!
"and when the patient woke up, his skeleton was missing, and the doctor was never heard from again! ... anyway that's how I lost my medical license..."
Please make an minigame: gopher hunting. I'm about to punch a hole in my screen every time my terrible cards make me get +19 and his smug little face pops up.
its an interesting concept, its just a little slow. also that sound effect will be the death of me. consider a mute button, some music and maybe some levels instead of a survival mode. really just any incentive to keep someone playing like achievements or something. great base game though!
adding on to what skavengoblin said, a few suggestions for added features would be a mute button, maybe upgrades or a campaign(?) and definitely a combo multiplier to get more points for accuracy. i like it though, its a fairly good base game! keep up the good work
Thank you! Thank you. I appreciate that. It excites me to hear people enjoying something I created. Now I myself know what it feels like.
Yes, mute button is always a common request (I knew that would be coming, lol). Upgrades and combo multiplier were definitely things I've had in mind as well.
Great ideas! Would love for anyone else to keep them coming.
Theres way too much friction... I know it helps to stick the landing, but it would be nice to slide a bit. maybe have different types of surfaces? you have a decent base for a good physics game though. I'd be interested in seeing some improvements. maybe some bounce shots, powerups and airshots as well. anything really to separate this game from the rest would be good
i'm gonna be honest, i just wanted to try this game so i could comment with my new avatar. but while i'm here.... the lateral movement stays constant no matter how you hit it, the ball speed doesnt seem to progress at all as you progress in a point and it starts off too slow. the lack of progression gives it very little replay value. also watch the ball graphics, as on corner shots, part of the ball seems to be missing. a little music and other improvements could make this a very playable game. but at the moment, its unoriginal and is by no means a match for currently available pong games. regardless though, keep trying new things and striving forward as a developer. its not a bad start.
are you supposed to be able to duck and jumt at the same time? cause that kinda defeats the purpose of ducking obstacles if you can duck continuously throughout the levels. otherwise, needs some work but has a good base.
a possible option could be a negative mode where you have to dodge rain to keep your jetpack form rusting or something. im just struggling because my gamer instinct keeps telling me to dodge the falling objects :P either way, fun game. keep up the good work!
its a refreshing idea for your first game i guess. its better then most the crappy snake games out there but it gets a little slow and the obstacles make the later levels extremely frustrating. especially the maze level. id recommend speed options or a way to boost. or maybe a level select screen so we dont have to play through all ten to see what you have to offer. not bad but needs some work. keep up the good work!
Yeah, they're not very forgiving, I'll agree with you on that. :P Thanks!
