Meh, this game feels broken. My strategy is to get big, and if the enemy gets so big that I can't eat him, let him continue eating proteins until he splits and I eat the 2 spit parts.
Not to double post or anything, but consider color coding the gaps that you CAN walk through...? I mean, it might make the game easier, but it would also eliminate the guess-and-check and makes the game rely more on puzzling and skill.
I LOVE the idea, but I feel there are a few issues. First, the controls are a tad touchy. This isn't really that big of an issue, though- I can deal with it. The thing that really bugged me was when there was obviously a space between two rooms that I could walk through, but was not allowed to. It made the game feel a bit more like a puzzle than tiles that you could walk through. Still, 5/5!
Needs upgrades, but it's still really fun! I agree with the skirmish option, plus a multiplayer version. Great strategy style of gameplay, though, and it's difficult. Wow, I took no time to organize this post whatsoever.
4/5
Eh, I don't have an issue with the strange indie feel of it or the fact that it's not really a game... I like that, in fact. I just think the delivery wasn't done very well. You run in front of a few bullets, die, people cry over you for a few seconds, and leave. It's hardly artistic.
This isn't hard for me at all. I mean, I'm not bragging- normally I'm below-average at flash games. But people are complaining about this being hard? I beat it on my first try, and have played it numerous other times and have only lost once. It's actually EASIER than other flash games!
Still, it's epic, and I hope to see more sequels!
Candle didn;t work for me, and I have a mic. Plus, it annoys me that outside hardware makes the game easier.
But the thing that really annoyed me was that either these puzzles were straightforeward (move the mouse out of the screen, or remember a basic pattern) or in some cases nonsensical. There WASN'T anything to take literally, and the game ended up just being guess and check- not nearly the clever witty puzzles I thought they were going to be.
