@Shaximilion: I only managed to defeat Bernard the first time by turning on >100% dark resistance on Mardek. You know his retaliation move that deals massive damage (thus, it healed)? You know how that's a drain move? ...Yeah.
Also: I did not know that if you hit the ~ (AKA the ` key) on your keyboard in this tutorial, it will show you what process the scenes go through (fade in fade out etc.)
Yeah, that's on every Stencyl game (one way you can tell if a game is made with Stencyl or not). I actually use it to my advantage in The Lonely Square to make an easter egg ;).
GLITCHES TO FIX:
1. If you pause the game at the end and hit 2 again and again, the music will overlay itself until you die.
2. If you pause the game and hit 0 or 1, the character will stay on screen throughout the tutorial until you unpause the game.
Just thought I'd mention them.
5/5 and fav'd - good, fairly unique, not overly difficult but not overly easy either, and without the annoyingly precise clicking (in terms of both position and timing) that most of these games require. Best physics puzzler I have played in a long while.
The exception to the "good physics" is an element that makes the game easier as it is, and you don't need to change it if you prefer it as is or if it would be too complicated to change: friction should increase as you get towards the bottom of a stack of blocks, because the total weight of the blocks on top increases. Remember: friction is proportional to the amount that it has to push back. If there's more weight on top, the block has to push back more, so there should be more friction.
3/5. Good physics, no lag, not overly difficult due to the slipperiness of the blocks, but too short and simple to be considered anything better at the moment.
I've played this longer than any other game of this type, and I thought it was one of the best games of it's type, but games of this type suck in general, so that's nothing to brag about...
Lesson learned: with enough whirlpools, you can take out half an island (the half with your enemy on it). So, if you're feeling overwhelmed, obliterate half of the enemy-controlled universe with whirlpool after whirlpool.
5/5. Impressive game - this series has some of the best stories I've heard in a long time. The progression of what to do is fairly logical, and the map and the eyeball make it difficult to get stuck (unlike some point-and-clicks). Superb game.
