I can finally say, "AHM A-FIRIN MAH LASAR!" I bet I was the first one to say that, wasn't I? Never been said before, throughout this game's comments? Totally orignal? :P
Eh, I feel like random encounters in general are almost required, but I don't like them... Almost every RPG has random encounters in some form or another (although in many they are completely or somewhat avoidable, e.g. Pokemon or the Paper Mario series (don't know about the first, but the other two)). You do need some enemies that aren't plot related, or else you can't level up well - you're only fighting plot battles, and it feels railroaded.
Anyway, excellent game, I'm hooked, I've got almost 24 hours in ~a week, despite all the homework I have to do (glad it's vacation for me).
Security orbs' "repair.exe" = WIN! (for anyone who doesn't know computers well, ".exe" stands for "executable," meaning it is a program you can execute.)
@deviljon: Get on the internet. Go to Kongregate. Play Flight. Throw paper plane backwards. Restart browser. THEN, you throw your paper plane, collect points, upgrade, and save the world.
