For the most part, a 4/5 game, but the variety of control schemes and the different means by which the puzzles were solved push it up into the 5/5 bracket. Nice game. Only other comment is that the "click to rotate" puzzles were a bit easy... click until they're done, that's about as easy as it gets.
Started out 4/5, because it was acceptable, but having lost my data for the second time (despite it having saved consistently - my computer battery died, but the data should still have been there, as other flash game data was kept, up to saving), I'm lowering that to a 3/5, because "saving" should account for sudden termination of the program.
Heh. Collision with ship. "Miss" (I evaded it). Ship still blows up. Also, wow that's a lot of shield modules with NG+. I just beat Iblis without taking any health damage.
*Plays this game with a touch screen* *Wonders why a game that consists of "press start" "press end" is awesome* *realizes that touch screens are OP for this game* *Goes to wait to play until has an actual mouse to use* Still, even though I can't actually play it, 4/5 because I can see the potential here.
Yeah, but that wasn't intended to be a "for winning" point, it was supposed to be a "my deck isn't optimized for even the purpose it hit" point, so to speak.
Well, I mean, dive-and-parallel-universe, etc. decks get higher damage, but for a relatively early & unoptimized deck 28 per turn will tend to take down a foe fairly quickly. (I prefer optimizing my play style, which doesn't go "super" since it doesn't match any of the "super" decks, rather than optimizing my deck to the point where I always win, but aren't using the strategies I'd like to use.)
@Charlie351: Depends on what you do afterwords. If you save while you're holding it, it'll crash. I haven't experimented enough to see what it does in different situations, though, although I have used it for extra Oxyales.
@ArusDaryl: Assuming Windows, go to "%appdata%" in your file system (on another system, it'll be somewhere else). Look through it for the Mardek files (they'll be a few folders in, in "chat.kongregate.com"). Copy those files to your other system, and put them in the same place you got them from.
Heh, nice touch on the voice acting. >10 = "Lots of bullets", 0 = "Zero bullets. Sh*t." Was going to rate 4.45/5=4/5 (good, but could be better), but those nice touches bumped it up to 4.55/5=5/5 (still needs work, but worthy of a 5).
A trick, exploiting a bug: Go to an inventory, or a save crystal with item storage. Exit with Z, but before the screen entirely disappears, pick up an item. Congratulations, you now have an item in your hand outside the item screen. Use it on the Gonzor Shaman to get even more Oxyales, or for other things if you feel like it.
Also, another under-used fact: if you have a spell that says "target(s)" in the description, you can press left/right (left on your enemies, right on your party) to use it on the entire party/group of enemies. Spells will cost twice as much mana and deal half as much damage, but still nice for taking out the stupid bats or for Mardek healing your entire party if you haven't taken much damage.
