I think for the collection materials should be able to be upgraded. I have about 30 of the lowest material for some of them, and 0 of the highest tier. 2 from the tier lower should be able to be combined to make a higher tier material. That would make the whole deal a lot easier!
One of the best combos I have found so far is the one with the swarm ability and the healing one. Go into a room and run around in it to gather up all the enemys. Then run out, they all will follow you. Then cast the swarm ability that puts a swarm of bugs that if they pass through and get infected, and just run away. They will die in 1-30 seconds and you barely took any damage. Vote this up so newbies can see it!
LOL gigitrix is a liar the absolute best way to get unlimited preactice on whatever terrain you want say walljumping or something just go to the map editor and create a map with exactly what you want to practice i have been working on walljumpin myself and the best way to do it is to create a map with a wall and just try it out you might want to start with lower gravity then work your way up to 10 and maybe even go above for practice
