The game really ought te end as soon as you take the last structure. It is really irritating to beat the level with 1 second to spare only to be thwarted by the clock continuing as the screen fades to black.
The hard badge in this game is surprisingly easy with a little bit of the in-game currency. Instead of buying special agents or specialty buildings, save your money until you have accumulated at least $1000 and have reached the level where you can use fully upgraded super monkeys. Play the clock level but make sure to buy the double money and 50% moab health reduction power ups at the beginning. Purchase one dartling gun, and put it in the center. Upgrade it to the second level in both upgrade trees and then purchase a super monkey. From this point onwards it should be relatively easy to just continue upgrading until you get a temple of the monkey god. Buying banana farms along the way will also ease the process. Hope this helps.
It's a pretty awesome game however I have two complaints. First, wall jumping seems to be a bit borken as it often will cause me to die either because I stick to the wall momentarily when I need to just fall, or because i sometimes will not stick to exploding blocks. This has caused me numerous deaths and could be fixed by having you only stick to the wall when you are holding the walls directional button (right to stick to a wall on your right and vice versa). The other problem I had which could be easily fixed was that you had to use a wasd and arrow key controls instead of wasd and jkl or arrow keys and zxc. This seemingly random choice made me fall numerous times because i would stop in mid jump after accidentally hitting both the up key and w instinctually. Otherwise, it is excellent game which is highly enjoyable to play.
If you are getting stuck on some of the longer levels, then there is an easy tower combination to beat all enemies. Put 4-6 guard towers near each other and 3 battle standards near them. Upgrade at least one of the guard towers to a shock tower. The shock tower should have a reload close to 10 with the battle standards help. If you upgrade the standards a bit more, then you can get all the way to a negative reload time. At this point you will have a machine gun dealing 25 damage per hit and annihilating all enemies in its path. I needed no other towers for the whole game when I used this strategy. (+ so others can see)
It is normally ok if the enemy outnumbers you, has a ridiculously high amount of health, perfect aim, you have a time limit, or your team mates suck, but when put all together it makes a frustrating end to an otherwise good game. I would have been completely fine with the last level without the time. I have gotten my enemy down to one or two lives but then lost because the timer ran out. Good game, but really frustrating.
Really really awesome game, but I just wished that I would get a chance to use some of my more powerful cards more often. I almost always would max out my spaces early in the duel. I love the game but I think it needs to go a bit farther. The campaign should be longer and there should be more cards and maybe the ability to increase your deck size. Still 5/5 though. Great work.
It would be nice if there was an incentive to get 3 stars as opposed to 1. Maybe something like an upgrade would be available for every 2 stars which you got. I see no reason to go back and get 3 stars on a level if I am not even awarded some arbitrary points for it. Otherwise good game. 4/5.
Really good game, but there is a typo in the achievements page. It says requements instead of requirements. Consider fixing it in a patch or something, but otherwise 5/5.
this is an exact clone of a game just like it (same powerups point system and costs) that was about an alcoholic santa instead of a guy on the john. For that 2/5.
For the last levels I found that you just had to use the repulsor a lot (especially the last level) but it is so cheap that you earn back the money in no time. I also found that the imploders were an effective way to deal with the underground guys if you can afford quite a few. Really good game, but like what other people said, it needs a bit more. Maybe upgrades, experience, longer game, defensive structures and a few more units. With those additions this game would become one of the top on Kong. 5/5 good job.
