Diggey, your hero model seems to be based on whatever first-tier skill you choose, not you bloodline. If you grab strength, you get a Warrior model. If you choose Agility, you get a Rogue model. If you choose Intelligence, you get a Mage model.
Could I please get a more detailed explanation of what that silly cat does? "Brings luck" doesn't really tell me a lot about how it affects my gameplay...
Tips: Town Perks list, in order of most important to least important: Endurance (Tier 4/T4 Perk), Leadership (T2 Perk), Adrenalin (T3 Perk), Bravery (T4 Perk), Stockpile (T2 Perk), Courage (T1 Perk), Intimidation (T4 Perk), then all other perks, with the following exceptions; Fortune (T1 Perk) and Scavenge (T2 Perk) should be acquired early on to help buy other perks and training.
Regarding town members, it's best to get Archers and Clerics as soon as you can. For training, get all five upgrades for Farmers, and at *least* the first two upgrades for Clerics.
With Stockpile, Leadership, and Musket maxed, and 2 +50 food/day bonuses from the merchant, surviving the days you don't have farmers for is easy.
If you don't like your digging income on any given day, or don't like your choices when the game makes you choose which group of units to keep, exit to menu and load save, digging rewards and group choices are randomized every time.
Suggestion for improved gameplay; connect the skills and units to hotkeys. (example: apple trees=1, shadow assassinate=2, etc. etc., farmers=Q, assassins=W, etc. etc.) Starting around day 15, it started to become really important to be able to use a skill or place a unit repeatedly and in a short time frame, and there are no shortcuts that make doing so possible. Another possible solution would be to hold shift for multiple uses at once, but that would be somewhat less helpful than just having hotkeys.
My main concern at the moment is the amount of lag I get while playing this; It's fine most of the time, but when I start to upgrade dogs/homework, I experience a massive drop in framerate. It works itself out after a few moments, but because I'm rendered completely unable to do anything until then, it's a serious game-killer for me.
I've encountered an small bug in the game; to my knowledge, this only occurs with rain (B) when trying to move diagonally up and to the left; it does not occur with any other power that I've noticed, nor with left+down, right+down, or right+up. Only with left+up and rain (B). You can't do it. You can only move left OR up, not both at the same time, and if you are already moving diagonally up and left, you will not be able to use rain until you stop.
Another suggestion, I only just noticed this; selecting a type of honey to harvest, clicking the swarms to send out new ones, etc...if you already have a large number of swarms harvesting when you do that, it's impossible to do it without accidentally selecting an active swarm. Maybe make it so that you can't "click through" that menu, if you get what I mean?
Suggestion for next update; I'd like it if you could find a way to limit the number of bee swarms on the screen at a time; I find that, starting at between 155 and 170 swarms, I start to get a large amount of lag whenever I view that particular screen.
I also agree with the requests for buying more than just 100 breeding food per click; and as a suggestion to those having trouble, until such a feature is added, in the market screen, hit TAB until the button to buy more is selected, then press and hold enter; alternatively, find something small but relatively heavy to use to weigh it down.
Finally, great idle so far; I especially like the fact that my bees collect honey at the same rate even if I'm not actively using the tab; a lot of idle games have trouble doing stuff like that.
Five stars, and I can't wait to see your next game.
There seems to be an issue with the levelup quest for reaching levels 170 and 190; Even though I wasn't anywhere near those levels, those quests were shown to be already complete at level 150, and I was permitted to proceed to the next area in each case without having those levels. This did not occur at the level 210 quest, I now have to get up 60 levels to complete it...or fifty levels, there is a bug there, it says "Get 210th level" but it says I have "150/200." I haven't gotten past this point yet, obviously, so I don't know if similar problems will persist at higher stages.
You might want to look into this, as it has a rather large impact on gameplay.
Lmfao, Zone one, three hours in, still doing about the same as when I started. Wondered if foes vary by zone, but difficulty by level...quickly disproved that. Went to zone 200, hit fight, and...was mauled by a bear for 30x my max hp lmfao
Okay, just finished calculations, final level of Banana Farm, left path (Banana Factory), IS NOT WORTH THE COST, not unless you are playing in freeplay mode. It costs $24400 on medium to get all 4 left-path upgrades and the right-path upgrades that maximize its worth, and, if you get it all at once, it takes NINE ROUNDS before the thing starts MAKING money, as opposed to paying off its own cost. Considering the expense of buying it, unless either A) you've hacked the game, B) you're incredibly lucky, or C) you're so good at playing this that you can buy the thing on round 40 or so without neglecting your offensive towers to the point of ruin, this thing is little more than a hole into which you can throw any money you have left before the final round for that difficulty.
@kahlen I agree, and I would also like to see a few other things to help me calculate my towers's worth; 1) a measure of the tower's maximum popping power (with current upgrades), assuming no bloons are immune to its attack; 2) I would like to be able to see exactly how much money I put into getting any given tower, AND all its upgrades, at any given time, without having to do the calculations myself; and 3) a more comprehensive targeting priority menu: for example, setting a tower to go after Leads first, other bloons second, or to ignore leads completely, if it doesn't have the ability to pop them.
I understand that a lot of thought has been put into these things, but I feel the need to point out that Banana Farms are increadibly inefficient. I plugged the money generated per wave for each level into a calculator, as well as the costs, and for a level 3 farm (non-bank path) to produce all the money used to BUY it, never mind profit from the thing, you need to wait ELEVEN WAVES. On EASY mode. The things cost far more on the harder modes. That's over 1/5 of the entire time used to beat easy mode. And that's if you get it all at once; it takes far longer if you work up to that level over a few waves.
I don't mean to be rude, but...screw it, there's no nice way to put this; Are you some kind of idiot? If 1g=9 calories, then 9000 calories=1kg, NOT 7709. 1kg=1000g. You REALLY shouldn't need to be told this; if you have enough math and science skills to make a game, even a game like this, then you should know this stuff.
Like the previous version, it lacks a save. YOU DON'T GET ANYTHING WHEN YOU'RE OFFLINE, BECAUSE IT RESETS IF YOU CLOSE THE TAB!!! Stop telling me I get 50% when offline! -.-
Please note that this WILL NOT GUARANTEE 100% blop collection, as they can and will continue to fall off the screen when released, though not in numbers as great; to maximize collection efficiency, upgrade magnet radius frequently.
First, get levels 2 or 3 tech powers in all slots; second, get AT LEAST level 2 Focused Beams research; third, on EVERY LEVEL, purchase the Precision Flight upgrade; fourth, open start menu on your computer and turn mouse sensitivity up to max: this should cause the slightest twitch of the mouse to jump halfway across the screen; Once you start the level, just rapidly shake your mouse back and forth; with Precision Flight and max mouse sensitivity, this will cause Super Monkey to leap rapidly from side to side, maximizing the effects of the energy whips. Once you've completed a few worlds (the stage groupings) and have further upgraded the Focused Beams research and the tech powers (the powers it affects; the energy beams and energy whips), and have gotten a few upgrades for magnet radius, go back and replay the earliest levels, with the same tactics; easy way to get the 100% poppage.
Okay, for those of you complaining about the excessive grind requirements, I have discovered a fairly easy solution, cuts the grinding needed down to between 1/4th and 1/16th what you would need otherwise; Because my explanation of this is too long to fit into a single comment, I will be posting it in two or three.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but...putting it bluntly, this game is worthless without a save function of some sort. I have to start from scratch every time I'm force to restart my computer or if my web browser crashes. Without a save feature, I have to give this a 1/5
This is actually a hardware issue. Most keyboards are limited to the number of keys able to be pressed and registered due to the rail design.
