Excellent game and concept. And if some parts of the game were less frustrating, there'd be no challenge I think, which would take away from its playability. Dive was the toughest one for me. Cheers.
Actually, I'm fine with the random damage. Real battles are also somewhat random.. your troops either mess up or they do not...etc. and things like catapults naturally should have a high critical rate. However, I think the damage should increase when you're attacking from multiple directions at once. The hardest level for me was Goblin's Gold, but the rest was a cinch.
I think it would've been better had there been less frequent upgrades. Anyway, if for some reason you're finding it hard... just focus on leveling up your weapon (I personally like the 3 blue lasers+blue lightning) and actually use your bombs against the bosses, you'll get enough every level lol
There's a good guide on someone doing impossible on youtube (i.e. not having a vertical height of more than 2 squares between two adjacent pieces). what I did was click outside of the game whenever I felt I couldn't think fast enough and then decide where to put it. lol I think hard badge should be impossible too.
@ DJ. Are you kidding me?! This game is really hard lol (not as bad as zombie wars). I think you need to be a gaming genius to find this easy... or something. Although, granted, Fury > Zunder, especially in later levels when Zunder's little pew-pews leave his flanks wide open. Fury's defense is nice and packed and I suggest you use him for the survival feats, if not for everything. But maybe it's just me. =P
In 2nd world, just farm cash and get a bunch of band-aids (after you get all the 5k gear). that way, you can just stand still against any of the bosses and smack em w/o worrying about dying. For Brutus and other melee bosses, just stand on the lower edge of any of the boxes/columns, just stand there and hold Z, smack him as he comes along (he won't be able to turn the corner). Move only for the lightning =P. It's cheap but it saves you a headache.
hint: up to maybe around 8,000 just switch focus every 1.5-2 seconds. after that, use your peripheral vision and it should be relatively easy to get to 25k (took me about 12 tries).
Tips for hard badge:
-use hotkeys (1,2,3...etc)
-try to get the full combos (so you get 1,000 pt bonuses); i.e. prioritize: if you have 3 blank vs 5 blank, and there's no way you'll make the 5, go for the 3. Complete combos > attempts.
-change the music lol
