I like the art style. I like the game play. I like that you have a hitbox that generally makes sense. But I find the stat system utterly incomprehensible. Also, the final boss' dick move where he changes your beast completely demolishes all strategy and turns what should have been an exciting boss into a crapshoot. And then there's Zodiac Memory... Oy... tl;dr version, great permise, bewilderingly flawed execution.
Awesome. A Crush the Castle clone that actually improves on the formula by making the castles more physics-based and removing the silly percise aiming. A fine game and quite challenging in places.
And it's not drugs, you yobs. It's cutting. Leigh's appearance at some points shows her flickering, left to right. If she's been on his "left arm," then he'd have to cut left to right. The "pressure" in his head, the inability to keep his hands from shaking... Cutting can be an addiction, in the same way any dangerous behavior becomes an addiction. In Ending 1, he gives into her and cuts himself badly, probably like he did when he "met" her. In Ending 2, he probably settles with minor cuts, and in Ending 3, he does away with her completely. I can understand how people might think it's drugs, but it isn't. He's a depressed, anxious person and cuts to deal with the stress. That's all.
I originally gave this game a 4. After fialing the later stages hundreds of times, realizing that the reason you put in so many checkpoints is because the game would be impossible to clear in one car, I have decided that this falls into the sad ctegory of "Well presented, but awful," and have changed my score to a 1. If you are going to make random obstacles, with many aggressive opponents, have upgrades matter worth a damn. Thanks a million.
Brighton Street is way too hard. You're expected to avoid damage on completely random obstacles with unavoidable damage from the helicopter and soldiers, and the lovely mutant zombies that you can't run over. It's bullshit. This is one of the better zombie games, but it's still bull.
Short but sweet. Most of the puzzles made sense. The tale was well crafted and came together nicely, and the art direction was fantastic. This... Is going to be one of my rare fives...
Some months ago, I gave this a 2/5. Having played it more, I... Don't feel like changing my rating whatsoever. Maybe if you'd fix targeting on the Ghosts, I would make it 3. I really do get sick of my perfect games getting ruined by Ghosts. Also, requiring juggling is obnoxious. Learn from better TD games, like Cursed Treasure.
