The building upgrades are in no way useless. The timeslowing upgrade can be used to quickly reload your ammo if you're running low. The upgrade that destroys EVERY missile on the screen is fantastic and helps a lot. A fully upgraded flak cannon kills a lot of missiles once you start to get in the 10k's scorewise. The shield base is excellent for restoring other buildings energy to allow them to operate more efficiently.
Just uploaded an updated version. The 'Zig-Zag' bug no longer occurs, and the exploit where you can win without moving the paddle is also fixed. I'll be uploading another version tonight with increased difficulty for hard and medium modes.
Thanks for the bug feedback. I've figured out why it goes all weird if you hit it at a certain angle at the bottom, and will be uploading a fixed version later tonight.
As far as the easy-win bug goes, I'll be adding a fix once I think of one that doesnt cause the difficulty to be increased.
I was considering adding online play, but I didn't know if anyone would still enjoy good ol' pong. Considering the good initial reaction to the game, I think I might start work on adding a simple multiplayer mode.
Other than the fact that it was incredibly easy, way too short, and only had one weapon to choose from, with no upgrades or powerups or anything of the short, it was decent.
The art style was nice, but not enough to make up for the lack of gameplay.
2/5
Just ignore this game =]
It's horribly broken and I can't be bothered to fix it. First 5 levels suck it big time, 9th level is unpassable since it glitches at the end, music is broken, sounds are broken, star is broken.
lol.
Looks pretty, but it's horribly boring.
I might have to pass on the card this week as it's just too tedious to get to level 5. I wan't to hurt small children after the first level.
