The Epic War series is great, however I find it odd how one epic war doesn't build on the weaknesses of the other. There is no apparent re-configuring of the previous games, and the series seems to scatter in different tangents. However, if each game is taken as a single game and not as a piece of a series - its top notch. :)
Ahaha, you've got to be kidding me. When the game loaded and I got to the character selection screen, I thought: "cool music, cool graphics, near-naked babes, what's all this drama?" Well - I was prompty greeted with a [500 Internal Server Error].
Nicely done, have fun making any money off this game.
@Maunis: You buy the workshop for 25k gold, then trade 1k upgrade points from each of the four crafters, at which point you'll have the workshop added to your store. Then just wait for a crafter to enter and hire. Voila.
I really thought the top commenters were exaggerating - I really did. I wanted to give this game a chance, but I must say: the top commenters were completely spot on. In fact, they're rather mild. Forcing people to pay to play for more than 2 mins/half hour of waiting time is ridiculous. I can understand if real-world money was put into upgrades (which you've artfully made possible) or something of the sort. Sorry lads, this is piracy on a site full of 100% equally good, free games. I sincerely hope you enjoy your dime-bag profits.
Honestly, a great game that's got a lot of potential. However, I do have some comments/suggestions. For one, requiring energy is silly - if we like the game, we'll keep on playing. Requiring energy won't bring players back for more, it'll piss people off. Another, please add a quality setting. It may be that I haven't found it yet - but my fps is bad, real bad considering I've got a netbook for entertainment. Finally, requiring real money to become a decent player is somewhat annoying - what you could do is make certain missions that require money which have some great XP rewards or monetary rewards. The "premium" players would still have an advantage over regular players, but it wouldn't make it impossible for non-paying players to truly excel. Other than that, great graphics, great idea, great play style, great game. Thanks :)
Couple things: The game would be a lot more fun if one were capable of killing the guards. To counter the possible reduction of game difficulty - simply install more guards, and have alarms raised when their corpses are sighted. Simple, and definitely more fun. Carnage = good. Another peeve: PLEASE PUT A RESTART BUTTON! I hate being unable to restart after I pass the 30 second mark. "R" should do the trick.
Probably one of the most amusing games on the site. Only thing missing to make this race more socialist is the ability to choose equally among the characters. While being a sprinting Lenin may have its perks -- I'd like to give Trotsky an equal chance to excel.
Love the game, but I wish the stats were clearer to understand. Yes, attack and defense are easy to comprehend, but speed for example isn't: I would expect that if I had a speed of 30, and my opponent a speed of 1, I would be 30 times faster - essentially annihilating him before he can twitch his thumb. I'm cool with having my enemies having a speed that actually equates to the difference between us, say 20 to 30, where I hit 3 times for every 2 of his hits. That's comprehendable. I'd also like to know how much of a multiplier strength actually provides. Does 6 strength give you a boost of 6%? Appreciate it. :)
There is little more manlier than vanquishing wave after wave of sex-crazed, poop-slinging bunnies, serving a flurry of bullets - all without your britches. Touché Frost.
Steak becomes available on day 18, and the badge is awarded on the completion of the day. I was quite frustrated not knowing when the badge would be awarded. :)
@ichigo: I passed it by simply using a berserker per small and medium boars, then a berserker along with a crew of 2 archers per black boar. but right off the bat send out miners. Don't send anything against Boaretheus, I only did when I had a lot of extra cash, but if you're strapped - no worries, he'll get more damage from the archers on your wall than your wall will. Cheers :)
I really liked the game! Got frustrating at times - but the bonus levels made it all worth it. Seriously. Had you made the entire game like those bonus levels, all 24 being different from one another - the replayability would have been staggering!
