show moreI saw you wanted feedback for your game Random Move. It took me some time to figure out how to start the game [hitting the space bar] as there is nothing that tells you anything. Secondly, the control scheme was alien to me until I realized “up” was “forward” and left and right turned you. The random jumpyness of the controls felt awkward too, though that seems to be the point of the game.
Trying to collect the berries wasn’t too difficult, but I had a lot of trouble with attempting to cross the dark barrier squares. I know you have very large hints, but perhaps a graphic with notes on it would be more helpful. Since the movement is randomized slightly, maybe getting rid of the number of steps altogether would make this game more inviting. If that makes it too easy, then add more fireballs or other enemies.
I didn’t really understand the movement hints, either. When I was first playing without an understanding of the controls, it seemed like the movement hints were supposed to be the direction I could only move in since it coincidentally lined up with how I was moving.
