the blaster feels overpowered. gameplay is too bland - you kill some ships, then some more spawn, repeat x10, boss. first 2-3 minutes were interesting, then it was boring
decent gameplay, refresh rate is ok even for an oldie. would like to see some strategy elements, like more levers, guarded by different types of monsters. also, less labyrinth, or make it so you have markers for the right way to go. and of course, any rpg elemets would be an improvement (stats, skills, etc).
