Easy and fast strategy to win all levels on any difficulty: Get full upgrades for a bunch of melee units, the dwarf hero, Rage, Berserk and Invincible, no titans required. Go straight for the enemy castle instantly, the only level where you can't get to it instantly is on Goblin Horde so just keep killing until you reach it. Use Rage and Berserk to quickly kill the castle on easier levels and for harder ones use Invincible when a boss or large enemy group arrives, as soon as you get enough mana use a second invincible and you'll win before that wears off. Only level this strategy doesn't work on is Baal, for Baal stay at your castle until you get max mana then assault with all and use invincible, after you regain roughly 60 mana use invincible again to keep it up permamently and eventually your troops get past Baal and start attacking the castle. You'll win any level besides Baal and Goblin Horde by time you gain a total of 200 mana (Used mana included) if you do this right.
Big Bang - Send all melee units apart from dwarf hero and possibly pixies if need be, use rage and berserk spells when a few of your units reach the castle and you'll destroy it way before you destroy the first bomb even on Epic, you need fully upgraded units for this though, can be done without upgraded units even on hard. I used Viegraf, Popo and Kara heroes with Mad Bull, Valkyrie, Goblin, Phantom Ghost, Pixie and Were Tiger, not tried without Pixies but it could work better.
Big bang mission is easy money, on hard you get 70k bonus and can win easily, just go straight for the castle with a bunch of melee units and use Rage spell.
Tip - Never go at max speed, you hit all birds and red fireflies which dramatically decreases speed, if you keep a steady speed and use fuel sparingly you can avoid almost all negative obstacles, pick up all yellow fireflies and make it to space without boosters, I did this first attempt as soon as soon as I figured it out, with all upgrades of course.
Also since the AI of player made ships don't activate skills in Dogfighting (Not sure about the other missions) then either they should be able to do so or skills should be de-activated for both players to make them fair battles.
The part limits should be limited to the amount of space you have on the placement grid. If this happens then to counter impossible ships that have so much regen that they can't be killed then either allow all weapons to be fired at once or make the size of the lvl 1 regens larger so they can't overlap each other, this would make the max shell regen value at around 3,000 which is a feasible amount in destroying the ship without the need for player input. This would also keep players on the game longer so that they can create those bigger ships, if it wasn't for the limit breaking glitch I would have left the game within my first day of playing but I've come back 2-3 days more to create other ships.
If you have powerful weaponry or for some reason - A bunch of command modules on your ship then you can probably use the above strategy on the Vulnerable Bank Vault which offers 150 credits per kill, I just made 50k from it in the time I gained 100k energy but I have 76 command modules so my turrets alone instantly destroy its 78k HP, if you can't kill it fast enough then you won't be able to AFK it.
Easy money whilst AFK - Go on the Asteroid something level against the Cash Generator ship, take over all bases and put Harvester turrets by each then once you own all bases buy as many missile turrets as you can and move them all south of the enemy main base as close as possible without them being shot at and stick your ship there too, now when the enemy commander spawns he'll die pretty much instantly for an easy 100+ credits every 4/5 seconds. When you finish the level you'll also get extra credits for the amount of energy you have, 350,000 gave me 7k credits and in that same amount of time I made over 65k from killing the enemy commander, whilst playing Modern Warfare 2!
Fight my 'The Vulnerable Bank Vault' ship if you want easy money, you get 1600 per fight I believe (If you get half of the credit value of the ship) and even weak ships will be able to take it out.
Actually DavidCP my ship is 118k and there are other ships just as expensive and even more expensive than mine (Universal Devastator being one) which gives a whopping 3.9k compared to my 3.2k.
@ xXKylloXx You can have more weapons, just put more parts on, the game says you cant but you can still do it, you just have to add more than one piece at a time.
The Scorpion ship is some easy money, my 22k ship obliterates it for 964+100 credits, a smaller ship with enough fire power and energy could take it out due to the short range the Scorpion has, you can attack it and it can't fire back.
Would have been nice is the game was harder, not once did I come close to losing. The Time Stopper awards are really unbalanced, during the first few towns they're difficult to achieve and you have to come back later (Especially the last town in the first area), same applies to most of the second area but once you arrive at the third onwards they become natural and even easier than the ones in the first and second areas, I was obtaining both Massacre and Time Stopper awards on my first attempt at each town besides just the camelot castle one which was actually difficult to obtain at that point compared to me winning the others with over a minute or two to spare. Also there should be some way to easily tell when your heroes are dead, I found myself saving up mana often just to make sure my heroes weren't dead. There also needs to be a de-select unit option and enemies need to be easier to target.
Hard isn't hard, it's just heavily reliant on luck to get the right cards due to the small amount of starting resources. A deck full of attack cards along with crystal, brick and weapon+8 cards will easily take out the yellow tribe with some luck and then they give the trojan horse which with magic weapon will take out the green and final castle easily again with luck. Try and start off with trojan, magic weapon, crystal + and weapon+ cards and you'll win within a few turns as long as the AI don't use thief and stuff like that. I'd like to see any deck be able to consistently win on hard, if not then the difficulty comes from being cheap, which is entirely different than being classed as hard, especially on a game like this.
I don't understand what was so challenging about the last level as said in the level description, I was just stood in the centre of the screen 2-3 shotting everything with my Boomstick on Normal difficulty, didn't even bother with barrier, slow motion, dash, double jumps, teleports or even killing perks, I couldn't die from just standing still even if I wasn't getting the level ups every other kill.
Really needs a transparent effect on scenery when you're stood behind it, I just attacked an enemy which went behind a pillar as I was walking to it and I accidentally moved and it stopped attacking then I couldn't move away or click the enemy to attack it and almost died, pet barely saved me.
I believe that mines should be improved upon a bit, after numerous playthroughs I only ever used them to achieve the 'Miner 49er' award, maybe I suck at using them properly but I just never got kills with them. When I tried using them either they blew up before an enemy got close or the enemy would just shoot them, the only use I see for them is killing an enemy that's close by on the other side of a small wall because the explosion goes through the wall but that is also a rare occasion. With skill and practice you can win almost any level without being in danger by bullets alone, the levels that don't apply to this throw you into danger straight away where mines would just add to your problems or you're against stationary targets that ricochet bullets at you.
