Sniper rifle makes things a lot better. But really I was hoping this would be more like a rebuild type game. But the constant field shooting is just sucking the fun right out of the game.
MEh. Overall, I say the concept is good. Feels like I am playing Rebuild, but this game is lacking. There is too much fighting and not enough of everything else. Mostly feel like I am just killing endless fields of zombies and thats about it.
The game had potential. No ending, easy to find treasures. No actually real searching. All treasures can be found at the furthest bottom right corner.
Killing all the fish in the ocean for money. Good moral.
The game needs more to it and a dev that cares more.
This game gave me a few laughs but I hope to see it blossom into something a little more flexible in choice making or combat. Maybe if this was like some kind of town building game where you collect cash and items to build the town back or something and this is how the combat system worked or something... but the game just feels incomplete or lacking on choice making. other than that, I love it for what it is. :)
I honestly feel that the game would benefit of having a "Aid" room added along with students being able to get injured in different ways when failing missions. Broken Arm = Slower attack speed. Eyes = Higher Miss chance, Leg = Slower movement. Damaged Head = Lower Skill proc chance. Ect. Ect The Aid room would help recover the student from the wound but must remain in there for 1-4 weeks depending on how severe the injury is.
I am 25% through the game and I have to say, Impressive. Really gives me that "Final Fantasy Unique game type" Feel. The kind of game where it is its 'own', yet similar. Advice to the Dev. Follow your heart, learn from the best Devs out there that made great Rpgs. For example, I know you fear the idea of placing steal loot on bosses... But see, that is where Devs go wrong and Final Fantasy Proved it. Just because you may never get that special loot or special Vanity item ever again because you didnt want to steal from that special boss, does not mean the player will be upset. Players love all the hidden things in a game... That is what makes the game have that Special Pixie dust feeling. Secrets are special, and it makes the players feel special when they feel there may be more secrets to find...
Me and my mother solved this in 1 hour 23 minutes together over skype without using the walkthrough. The tricky puzzles were the "Clocks" and one of the Button press cabinet doors. That door threw us off for a while until we figured it out. ;)
Thanks for playing. Glad you enjoyed it.
