It's a machine gun, not artillery. The bullets do not arc like artillery, they travel in what is effectively a straight line. Therefore, the should not be passing over the monsters. If my aiming X is behind an enemy, the bullets should hit that enemy.
missing the point. the initial user experience is low on the "how to play" and heavy on the "buy things to win". that's just going to turn new players off immediately. all the "how to play" stuff is there but it should be the very first thing that the new player sees before anything else: direct them to the quests (hell, force them to open it before they can play) and have all the videos right there on a welcome page. once people get hooked then you'll see them spending cash money, but they aint gunna get hooked if they get turned off from it immediately with a blatant cash grab.
the sad part is is that it looks to be rather playable without gold, and the quests give you quite a few of the gold-bought items. it's just that it starts out asking so brazenly for gold that gives everyone an atrocious first impression.
stifled by poor targeting AI. strongly recommend giving people the option to choose what kind of creatures to target (most HP, closest to goal, etc). Other than that I think you've done a good job.
