Need a better lock-on mechanism, a little too hard to get. Also, I found myself needing to move to the edges of the screen to get a lock, then I would get wacked by something coming in (unseen) from off the screen.
Other than that, good game.
it's just like my dreams.....
==TO ALL PEOPLE ASKING ABOUT THE RESTAURANT== It is listed as in impossible badge, which means it is very, very hard to do. Unlike a lot of the hard badges here that are actually pretty easy to get, this one will take some work. I'm going out on a limb here and say it will take you a couple of WEEKS to get it. Some people get it sooner, some later. Once you figure out how to get there, keep in mind that you can't do it every time, so there is a certain amount of "good fortune" involved. Google search Dolphin Olympics 2 for several how to vids. Where is the diner? About 2050m. For reference, Pluto is about 900m, so even when you get there, you're not even halfway to the restaurant. As far as I can figure out, distances between the planets is a geometric progression, not linear.
What's your starting routine?
I go for a Nice Entry (NE) into a front flip and carnival, wraparound, front flip, wraparound, double front (sometimes second carnival), reversal, double back, reversal, frontside rewind, than start gaining speed.
CasVis, there is one above Pluto, it's just a pain to catch. And as for the last badge, it took me about two weeks of serious effort to get it. Since then, though, I've been there about 3 or 4 times. Nice life, huh?
Thanks MZ - while it's a little annoying that there is a modicum of luck necessary, at least that means my technique isn't dead wrong and there's a chance I can make it.
Is there a certain amount of luck involved in getting to the restaurant? I know my speed is good (>140), but I can almost never get a star trail after Passing Gas. I've made it as far as Wizard or New Frontiers (whichever is higher), but that's about it. i'm about to quit trying, which is why I'm asking if there is a certain amount of luck needed.......
