@grunert - when you leave the ramp, keep throttling your rocket - you don't want to exceed about 12% resistance. When you finish burning up your fuel, immediately change angle to get to the first position that gives you 0% resistance. When altitude gets to about 20 feet, start "swooping" a little.
FWIW, two suggestions if you do a revision:
1) Instead of 500 for nothing, we always played that it gave you a letter. If you spell out Z-I-L-C-H (actually, we played C-A-R-P (friendly version)), you lose automatically. This makes you think a little bit more about taking that Free Roll.
2) Given the extreme difficulty in getting zilch free wins (and the very random nature), reduce those awards and add these two: something to do with lead changes for those back and forth games, and an award for total number of dice scored in a single turn, giving players awards for taking chances. The award for total number of points scored is a little more luck driven (5k+ can be done with a total of 8 scoring dice, and the second roll is free).
I like the game a lot, though.
