So far I'm at 24/26 endings. Since no one has yet reached the all time leaderboard achievement of "Unexpectedly melted by dragon fire" and "Made a poor defensive choice against a dragon", I'm thinking there might be a bug. I've killed the dragon with the spear and gotten the ending claiming I was prepared with the shield when I had to give the shield away for the boots.
