Even if Kixeye brings the game back, I'm sure all data will be lost. Just demote it to 1 star rating and throw it on the trash heap. That's the problem with an economy based payment system. Players invest and when the game ends for whatever reason, players become justifiably angry.
Poorly planned. Potential is there but controls are weak, learning curve is steepand lack of a tutorial of any kind makes it a fairly unenjoyable experience.
graphics: interesting, gameplay: has potential (a few more ooh-ahh moves would be nice), economy: poor (too much pressure to buy rubies! no rubies, no decent gear). Look to Backyard Monsters if you want to see an effective economy. At least there they reward long term effort. Not the game for me.
Let's see now. I just leveled up. Let's improve those stats. Hmm, profile button disabled (during tutorial?). Hmm, I'm now level 7 with level 2 stats. Not good. Oh, look a big boss. Need help. Nope, not happening. So let's calculate, My average damage 27; his HP 150,000. So I need to hit him 5,556 times. Oh look, only 4 stat points and a 2 minute delay to get a stat point back. Let's see now, 5,556 X 2 minutes = 11,112 minutes (over 185 hours). NOT HAPPENING. Rating 1 for wasting my time in such an annoying way.
Nice concept a la Robert Altman with the reversal of time. Interesting graphics but a little too one dimensionally dark. The pink balloons stick out too much because of that. Perhaps some shading to bring out some of the characters would help.
I like these kind of games. and even the monsters popping out of the wall take me back to an earlier time of video games. The spells are still buggy and that makes it a lot less playable. I had 5 spells equipped, found a sixth spell, removed spells to reorder and could only use the first to spell slots. The other three empty slots return the message "Use an empty slot to swap"...hmmm. As a beta it's barely ok. as a game, not yet. GL with the effort and keep trying.
Quirky game. Like the upgrade graphics. Ambivalence reigns. "Yeah! got him! Don't let the girl get away...No...wait...those are humans...ummm....Awww, WTF! Eat 'em anyway..." I LIKE it!
@shaolin99: I think that's why a lot of people are suggesting a new category. It's tough to judge these types simply on game tech, graphic quality and playability. How about "Thoughtful Games" as a category?
How sad and poignant. Beautifully done in stark simplicity. It does take time to get over the gray. I agree, a new category is needed...but what would we call it?
Concept: GREAT! Playability: POOR! Needs Respec or Farming. I don't want to try and figure out how the developer thinks the game should be beaten. I want to beat it my way [i.e. the overfarmed unstoppable fleet method].
OK, I take it back. I spent waaaaay too much time playing and enjoying the free version.
Re-rated to 5/5...but i'm still too big cheapskate to buy premium.
Well...Yes, indeed. I guess that would happen if i let off a nuke in my back yard. Fun game; great for letting of steam without feeling obligated to complete levels. Favorited and 5/5
