I finally got around to beat the game, I had so big problems with level 3-4 before, but felt like I had to beat level 4, now that it got a double-badge. It's pretty much only those levels which are hard, if you learn how to beat those, you can beat any level after that.
I find this game no special, I've seen similar things before. And it's just another platformer... And a very slow paced one, with super easy puzzles :S The trick to spin things around isn't new with this game either
The way the keys are aligned, combined with the limited choice of keys to press makes it VERY frustrating, some places on the board are just too bad places for the reds to appear, and there is nothing that really tells how far off the reds are, which makes it really annoying with that red dot, since you know going over it will spawn them all ON you, but if you're no where near they wont spawn at all. I usually beat flash games with breeze, especially the nerdook ones, but this one is simply too hard for me :S
Winning strategy; get the second fliers ASAP, they shoot ground and air, but are kinda weak vs air, upgrade fully, and just use them, and you'll get to level 12 without any problem. At level 12 the anti-air tanks appear, they are dangerous for your fliers, use mines to kill them, deploy slightly infront of the tank, and it will run it over and get killed.
Also you'll start to need the anti-air fliers around then as well. They are MUCH more effective to handle the AA choppers. Make a perfect mix between AAfliers, allround fliers and mines. Roughly use as many mines as there is AA tanks on the level, which is around 6-10 depending on level.
Also please let people do 'illegal' moves, with some kind of penalty to it of course, since there is an negative thing to not constantly make lines disappear with the monsters hitting you, it would be nice to be allowed to build up your chains. Maybe make it take two turns to make an illegal move or it costing some mana/rage to do it. But it would be alot more intersting to have less luckbased chains and combos.
I made a 7 line removed, and it said it was a 5 -.- Please add L and T removals, and it saying something when you make up to the max of 8 in a long line.
The AI is very easy to trick. Spam out a huge amount of Trojans ( Kiddo does fine ), then follow up with a stream of worms, the very fast slammer is good, since it outspeeds the kiddo. The enemy will have filled his lines with LEDs which hits the worms and does no damage, and then you'll punch right through his defense.
Seriously! What's up with Big Pauly?! Every day he gets a HUGE pizza, and biggest burger with Mayo and crap on it, and then also a big taco?! Damn no wonder he is so big >_>
I have a suggestion about the crafting system to make it less... annoying. If you use the right combination of items, but not enough of them, you get a message that says "You feel you can create something with this if you use more resources". If you use too much for a recipe you get the excess back.
If there is several recipes with same base, you'll get to choose which to do if you use plenty enough resources, if you doesn't use enough for the highest one, you'll get a message saying "you feel you could make something else if you use more resources"
Much improvement from first game! Crafting system need some more work though. Finding recipes on your own is just pure luck, there is just too many potential combinations...
I thought it would be more like the incredible machine... I am happy it's not, not that TIM is a bad game but more that it already exist :P This one is slightly fresh, but still not awesome.
