some people don't know how to make this... You don't see every single game with one do you? That probably means they don't know how! This gives them a chance to learn it at some point.

Good point. I'm pretty sure it works for everything in actionscript 2, because I'm using it in a pretty complex game I'm working on. I see what you mean though and it could be true.
Also, your right about people who make complex games can handle it themselves. :) I want to direct this tutorial to beginners.
