Man, I really hate to see a good story and coding go down the drain due to bad animation and art. And when I say bad animation, I mean non-existent. The only reason I would use crappy artwork is to make the animating easier... and these guys didn't even do THAT. I'm not lashing out in a blind rage of.. average-kong-user-ness, I'm only stating a simple point... Sorry.
I was invicible very early on.. like, 3rd level. And if i want before then, i wouldnt know, because i never got hit. I literally sat through every level passed level 3 and did NOTHING as my thorn armor killed them... even the people with guns.
This game is absolute garbage.
Ok, im having incredibly mixed feelings about this. The idea is genius.. but the interface is shitty. Its almost impossible to do a wall jump correctly. Whether you pull off a good wall jump or not is not skill based, its basically luck; whether or not the interface decides to work correctly at the point in time. I hate to sound like the generic idiot, but: omfg this is too hard. And not in a good way. A sort of, unfun, aggravating way. In the first few levels, you will let that slide because you're impressed with the idea of the game. But that wears thin.
Time to be brutally honest.
The game design and idea are awesome. The programming is put together very well. However, the artwork is mediocre, at best.
Man, I know this is obvious to you by now, but you should've expected all of these retarded comments when you posted a game on Kong. The average kongregater is a very, very low breed.
Anyway, the fact that you're updating the game is amazing. Not even the best game designers have the dignity to admit there are small flaws in their games. This game is great, man.
The glitch where you can write outside of the box ruined everything. You would think that a drawing game in flash would be easy enough to make (It is. Incredibly easy), yet they fcked up on it. I wasted an hour of my time drawing something, only to have it made useless due to the extra drawing outside of the box.
You would think, at this point in time, game designers would realize that contact with the side of a spike wouldn't cause you to explode instantly. You would think that, but you'd be wrong...
But beyond that (that absolute bullshit) the game is really cool. There is a nice amount of satisfaction that comes from killing an enemy.
This is an amazing stress reliever, and a totally unique and refreshing concept. Its a big relief from the stupid, childish games that have infected kongregate.
If you are going to make a game with no point to it, you have to at LEAST make it easy. Since you failed at the minimum, this game earns a 0/5. But I can't go that low, so I'll give it a 1.
